For me it is easy. Today I picked up Sly Collection with my Gamestop Rewards Points. In other words I got it free. I had only originally played a demo of the original so it was an impulse buy.

First of all the games are great. Graphics, The 3D, gameplay, story.....it sits proudly next to the Jak and Ratchet games. But Bently and Murray are a complete disaster. They remind me of Slippy the toad and that is never good. I quit Sly 2 because the voices started to get irritating. It was a double whammy when I found out you play as them as well.

I am glad I picked it up today and the Sly character is really cool but I am guessing I will be playing this while I am listening to music (easy trophies it seems also). Please kill them off before Sly 4 comes out.....Pretty please?

Yeah, this is what I was thinking.

The only thing I could think of would be for people with motion sickness and some games that make them sick, but then a potentially great game becomes unplayable... not good.

The voice acting in a lot of games that come from japan is reason for me to dislike it. Not sure why they just don't add subs.

Black Ops Single Player: You start out in a bar and run out into the streets to find a car, the memory then skips to somewhere completely different. This leaves portions of the game feelings very disjoineted. Uncool.

Leveling system of Oblivion.
Encumberance in Fallout 3.
Controls of From Dust.
Ability to save in online in CIV V.
The store in TF2 (before it was free).
No jump button in Guild Wars.
No complete game purchase possible for Age of Empires Online.
No complete game purchase possible for World of Tanks.

Those were small flaws that really hurt my fun in those games. I was on a roll so I was a little liberal with your topic.

Terrible, frustrating save system in Dead Rising 2. You'd think they would have learned from the first game.

Terrible map, no way to place waypoints, just one place where you could bring survivors.

Dead Rising 2 would have scored far higher everywhere and in my book if it didn't have all these stupid design choices and missed opportunities.

I agree with this 100%. Probably my biggest complaint this generation. Also the stupid obsession developers have with blur this generation. I really hate any kind of blur.

Metroid Other M - Small flaw would easily be the voice acting and writing. Metroid is all about the gameplay and atmosphere, which I thought were great, but the VA that made Samus sound like a generic teenage girl that pretends to have so many problems and deep, emotional feelings that don't exist, really killed part of the game. I see it as "small" because the gameplay is really fun, and that's why I play it.

Fallout New Vegas - performance problems that caused bad FPS and crashes for me

Metro 2033 - While I think it's still amazing, it never really explained how to play the game and that caused a lot of confusion for players.

Homefront - SP campaign length and MP not being balanced enough. I still think it's good though, as I don't see those as any more than "small" flaws.

Mafia 2 - That ending...and lack of city interaction/things to do.

Cryostasis - severe performance problems.

Goldeneye 007 - Too much like CoD, not enough like Goldeneye.

RE: Darkside Chronicles - That camera shake...wasn't that bad at first but then it really got annoying.

Well it was still a great game but the slight issue with the switching between hip aiming and ADS/scope mode in GoldenEye Wii, which meant sometimes you find the view spinning out of your control a little bit, stopped it from being something truly special.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - granted I still think the game is great, but there are some combat and platforming issues

Nier - more of a couple big flaws: the combat could be deeper and the graphics could be cleaner

Resident Evil 5 - scarier, singleplayer campaign and coop campaign

Prince of Perisa '08 - no sequel yet :P

Dragon Age 2 - lack of focus to a main story

Too Human - Right thumbstick for combat made the came just annoying to play. You never get used to it because every other rational developer knows to put camera controls on the right stick. Wth was Dennis thinking? The game couldve been at least an 8, even with the repetitive levels.

Well I would'nt call these complaints small but here goes...

The Assassin Creed games, in particular the combat and the controls, are two things that REALLY stop this game series from being great in my eyes. There still good, but not great. I'm specifically talking about AC2 and Brotherhood here, AC1 was too repetitive to be considered good and only average instead.

The Comabat in the AC series is TOO easy, you just sit there and hold R1 and press Square button (I'm on PS3) to counter bad guys. That's all you have to do and you'll never lose, also the enemies are freakin' stupid. They just stand in a circle and wait patiently to attack you ONE AT A TIME, don't you think if you were trying to kill someone with a bunch of teammembers you would just attack at once? Makes sense right...but the AI doesn't even try.

My second complaint are the TERRIBLE controls, you have to press like 3 buttons to jump. That's just the dumbest thing ever IMO, why not just have the jump button be a single button on it's own like X or Triangle? That would make sense, also the climbing sucks, I can't tell you how many times I missed a jump or a ledge because the idiot doesn't grab on in time or the controls just suck so much he deciedes to commit suicide. Why don't they take a que from Uncharted and copy that climbing and jumping style? You know because it's actually GOOD and it WORKS in Uncharted unlike the AC games.

There, rant done/

Oblivion leveling system killed the whole game completely for me, i wasn't a fan to begin with i thought it was "ok" and suddenly i notice everything dying in two hits no matter what level i was, then discovered they were never above me or even slightly challenging, it was a ruinator for me(yeah i made that word up).

Ah there's another one. I didn't get wilderness to completely mess around with or even over the top missions to steal a jetpack. Oh i miss San Andreas and Vice City. Also AC2 the combat like Shadowmoses said was far too easy, atleast with the first one there was a small gap of timing required to use a counter, i hope they bring that back now Ezio is older and not as agile(just guessing) it would help the combat feel more natural.

As a long time Elder Scrolls fan I agree. I still loved the game but yeah the leveling system was a HUGE mistake, you never really grew "stronger" or improved at all in the game since everyone was always around your level. Plus at higher levels the guards become like super cyborgs or something, seriously there is no way to kill them, and they run SO fast at higher levels so you can't really escape lol.

Also I don't know if you ever played Morrowind or not, but that was the prequel to Oblivion. Anyways Morrowind had a MUCH more impressive variety of dungeons in it, you had so many from ancient tombs, to demonic ruins, to hidden hideouts ect... But Oblivion had NONE of that. It was just generic copy and paste cave/fort 301.

Thankfully Skyrim is fixing all that.

On-topic, sort of, The Witcher 2's pre-patch inventory system. The problem itself is small and easily fixable as opposed to other flaws of a game like, say, monotonous level design, but the fact that the problem existed made the game much, much worse than it should've been. Even worse when you consider they had it right in the first game. >.>

Assassin's Creed the game gets boring because your doing the same stuff in every city and it gets boring because you have to do it 9 times.

It would be a lot better if it was more varied.

I agree about the combat. It's so stiff and dull. They tried to steal some concepts from Arkham Asylum for brotherhood and that worked better, but still it's not a complete system. Basically combat is broken (but some kill animations ae obv awesome). The parkour however I think is excellent. It takes some practice to know what jumps you'll be able to make and when to hold X (PS3) and when to let t go and so on. Once u get the hang of it, it's actually a very neat system.

The host of problems that plagued GT5's release:

- Utterly ridiculous loading times despite an 8 GIG INSTALL.

- GT mode not working unless you signed out of PSN, not finding that out until I searched online.

- Online mode not working properly.

These got patched after a few days or so but the damage was done. First impressions mean a lot and the game messed them up completely.

Well you got to get a Gamestop Power up rewards pro card. Go to the Gamestop website to find out how many awards points you have. Go to rewards catalog and go shopping. They have 25 and 50 dollars off coupons, buy 1 get 1 free deals on PS3 and 360 games, and everything else you can imagine. They should of offered it to you if you got the normal card where you get the Game Informer. It is only $14.99 a year. I have already got Sly Collection and Infamous 2 for free. When everyone else was getting the buy 2 get i game free deal, I was getting buy 1 and getting one free. It is obviously worth it.

The level scaling in Oblivion. That game has so very much going for it, and I truely love The Elder Scrolls series... but that level scaling mess in Oblivion makes the game so very hard to enjoy.

Also AC2 the combat like Shadowmoses said was far too easy, atleast with the first one there was a small gap of timing required to use a counter, i hope they bring that back now Ezio is older and not as agile(just guessing) it would help the combat feel more natural.

They made it feel super dull and "gridy". Who cares about going to play darts with "friends" ? That's just ridiculous. All the fun was sucked out of GTA with 4.

Small flaws don't significantly effect games for me.vashkey

@ your post, david carusso's post, and like 3 others, too....

Geeze, some people on these forums are so annoying. It doesn't take much to stretch your brain a bit to understand the perspective/intention of the OP. Every. single. thread. is lambasted by pedantic anonymites who have nothing to contribute but negativity/dismissiveness. Maybe people should go on a day long strike of not posting any original threads, help the "others" realize the improtance of NEW topics to discuss. Nobody is getting paid for this.

As for you, OP, I have to say the copy/paste side missions in Mass Effect. In relation to other games, those side missions are better than 90% of what most games offer. But, going through that same isolated building so many times eventually took me out of an otherwise transcendent next-gen (at the time) rpg experience.
