Where is the pics of the PS3, I only see dust and dirt?
When I first heard this story I was sideing with the guy, but seeing those pics, Sony is in the right for saying the warranty is void, Even without touching the PS3 for a year the amount of dust and dirt shouldn't be that bad. I feel that I need to take a shower just looking at it.
Sony should of just showed the pictures in the first place and that would of stopped this story before it got so big.
That's literally collecting dust...
Maybe i'll buy a ps3 to clean my house

How can a PS3 clean your house? Don't be stupid. You're better than that.
If you bought a 360 Elite and a PS3 and let it sit on your shelve, the PS3 would collect more dust for some reason. Go try it. There's just something about the PS3 exterior that attracts dust more than other consoles.
...I would never let my PS3 or any other electronical device get near that dusty. -.-' Just a shame,I wouldn't clean that thing either.

He said the ps3 is literally collecting dust...so he may want to sit it in his home so it will attract all the dust.Get it?:PDid everyone see this comment a guy left on IGN. It had me cracking up for a good 10 minutes.
"The plane that was carrying this thing crashed in a junkyard for 3 days, was found by a Hobo, buried, dug up, and was catapulted through a sandstorm to the Sony HQ. Now THATS an excuse."

tut tut. typical sony and their poor customer servi.....ohh.
what the hell happened to it? ive never seen a console that dusty....ever. hell the inside of my old PC wasnt that bad. if its that bad on the outside, the fans on the inside must be veey gunked up. was the owener playing it while it was in a bucket of ash or something?
good on sony for even considering fixing it under warranty. that PS3 has clearly been badly treated.

it would be cheaper to pay a maid
haha i laugh at people who actually think this is from a ps3 collecting dust. This guy must keep it outside of his house in the desert. Sully28
Yeah...and with the memory card compartment wide open. That photo is clearly BS. It looks like he intentionally shot dirt AT the machine. If his PS3 is that unbelievably dirty, then what does the rest of his house look like? Does he NEVER clean? That's just gross.
The person who sent it for repair should of wiped all that dust off the PS3 IN THE FIRST PLACE! WhyuStillAlive
How would he explain all the dirt inside the memory card and USB slots? There is no logical or realistic reason for that and it would be difficult to properly clean.

Actually there is a good explanation. The fans inside suck air in through any place that air passes through. The USB ports being one of them. I get a little dust in mine too. Nothing a quick shot with a vacuum doesn't fix though.
