Who do you think makes the better games.
On one hand, Pixar games have the better soul, characters, and plot. They trulymake you feel like a kid again, with the exception of their awful 2006game Cars. Their characters are complex and the plot is always something new, and the game never suffers as a result compared to failures like Mass Effect and Uncharted. When Nintendo tries to make characters deeper than a plumber capable only of yelling his name and an autistic elf, we get awful abominations like the Metroid series,Disaster: Day of Crisis, Earthbound, and Xenoblade. And unlike Nintendo, Pixar actually hires quality voice actors like Tom Hanks. Nintendo only uses no-name interns like Charles Martinet and Jennifer Hale, pumping out amateur work in exchange for sandwiches.
However, Nintendo games have better gameplay. There is more freedom to your actions, even in the linear crap like Super Mario Bros. 3. Zelda and Pokemon games are big open world and you can go wherever you want, anywhere you want at anytime. Even in the best Pixar games, like Toy Story trilogy, Incredibles, and Wall-E, it feels like you are stuck on a rail for the entire game, just pressing one button to move on. It is almost like watching an awful interactive movie like Heavy Rain, God of War, or Uncharted. Nintendo games have a bigger lasting appeal than Pixar games. Nintendo games can well last you over 100+ hours, but the longest Pixar games only seem to give you barely two hours of gametime. But at least Pixar does not add pointless additions to pad the game's length like the hunt for artifacts in Meetroid Prime, the green stars in Super Mario Galaxy 2, or the weapon upgrades in Skyward Sword.
But in the end, the heart of Pixar games destroys whatever Nintendo has to offer. What do you think?
Edit: It's also okay if you want to discuss Dreamworks vs. Sony in this thread.
