If it was a HOME open beta, I doubt people would have been babbling about what they saw being real time. Unless HOME has had the biggest graphical upgrade ever.

I mean, it's a running joke now that you guys are just waiting for Sony to unveil something fantastic, are you putting your hopes in this being it? What? Sony has already shown PS3 owners all the great titles they can expect to come out this year. Thats enough if you ask me. All this other hype is just a cherry on top.

Seriously I think the update will show off KillZone 2.
I think it will be a totally new IP with support for the PSP. They talked about using the psp in that same podcast. All I know is it will be way better than the announcment of PAC-MAN Championship Edition.

Sorry, but Microsoft had already announced the disappointment that is Pacman.
I think it will be the Pink PSP / PS2 (and possibly other colors) being released in the US.  It won't be redesigned but may have more value added with a 1 gig memory stick thrown into the $169 package. Â

Personally all this talk of a redesign seems silly when they already have the most advanced handheld. They just need to deliver on the Playstation Connect Service.   Â

I was waiting for MLB The Show, so I'm already in extacy about my PS3, any additional surprises are a nice plus.

Because Sony got ripped a new one for showing off CGI a few years ago, it's a safe bet that they're going to do everything within their power to get it to look that good.

I have a feeling that the announcement is already over-hyped, and will continue to be over-hyped until the 11th. It'll probably be something not-so-important, like a demo for a game we've already seen.
First of all I LMAO at "what're." We're making up words! Anyway, I believe it will be a demo of KZ2. They emphasized real time which applies to KZ more than anything IMO.

Sony has some amazing developers on their side. Just because Killzone 1 and 2 were made by the same company doesn't mean it's the same programmers.
 Also, since the claim is it will be amazing about what it looks like in real time, it's not going to be new system colors like you suggest.Â
Real Killzone gameplay footage that will make Halo 3 look last gen. Halo 3 will still dominate in the sales department though, as it is the casuals shooter of choice par excellence. If not Killzone 2, then I am hoping for a new exclusive IP that will be graphically, as well as scale and physics wise superior to anything we have seen on the 360 thus far.
