RROD is not a thing of the past. microsoft claims to have, their words exactly "finally replaced the faulty chip that caused system failures" well guess what, they tried to make a thinner chip like the ps3 did, which improved the ps3, but it just made the chips lose connections in 360s even more. the fail rate is now 37 in the new ones, and 33 in the old. if you like t and m games more than e games, buy a ps3. if you like anything except halo 3 on the 360, get a ps3, it all looks better on ps3. if you were to have a mental age of 5 (no offense to anybody who owns a wii) then you should get a wii. it is funner for little kids.12345678ew

wait a minute, your post did not make sense you claim wii is for children , theres alot more t and m rated games on wii then there are on ps3, that are exclusive, and believe me, no ones gonna pay 399 for a console that does not play ps2 games any more, but any how heres proof how wii has more m rated games and t rated games then ever and doesnt have only e rated games even if so , rating means nothing it only means for every one , ,it does not say e for kids, lets look shall we driver paralel lines red steel farcry medal of honor call of duty quantum of solace bully se resident evil uc resident evil 4 house of the dead 2 /3 soon overkill scarface the world is yours god father history channel games, brothers in arms double time metroid prime 3 tom clancy splintercell da upcoming releases metroid prime 1 /2 gc games made for wii , timesplitters 4 the condult 007 09 title dead rising chop til you drop red steel 2 call of duty modern warfare 2 this isnt all that 09 has in stock for wii , games arent all announced yet, so you can run your mouth, i can back all this up , you cant

what? games do look better on ps3, they're all upscaled from 720p to 1080i (and yes, I know better is technically an opinion, so I'll rephrase it, games are more sharp on ps3. better?), the wii is marketed to young children, the new chip does have a higher fail rate, halo 3 is microsoft's flagship, and all the rated E games on ps3 are horrible. yes, I did notice my post came out insanely fanboy like. as for my name, which I assume is why you made your comment, it's simply because I don't like names that say anything about me. look in the mirror before you start complaining about that. "your talking about stuff that has nothing to do with gaming now" you made a whole post simply for arguing. /end rant as to the post instead of the _____________________ (I shalt not flame) if your simply chosing between ps3 and wii, it all depends on what you like. based on your list, probably a ps3. if your into 2d fighters more, and are one of the gamers that often prefer games with bad graphics, because some devs spend too much time on graphics and not enough on gameplay, get a wii. however the last statement is not my oppinion on most games (at least not rated t ones, many of the ones rated M spend too much time on their blood material and not enough on the controls. "R2 to shoot and R1 to shoot the ground raise laser beam? GAH!") also, if you want exercise from your console (kinda weird) then either get a wii or get a ps3 and play lair WAY to much. (if you do nothing but the special attack things it's really tiring, shaking a controller for 15 minutes....) so ya. it's really just personal preference, and what all your friends are on. since you probably want to be able to play with them.

As a few others have pointed out, ALL of your points match the PlayStation 3 more. I have owned one since launch, had no problems and have no regret. I am not a fanboy, but I can tell by your preferences right now, you would get terribly bored with the Wii, terribly, just like how I was when I tried it out for 3 days. Once you open that big box and pull out your new PS3, you wont look back, thats for sure. Dont let the fanboys on here influence your decision. You said you didn't want a 360, yet people are suggesting it anyway, by your preferences you wouldn't have any fun with the Wii (people keep suggesting that), I cant stress enough, you would love the PS3. I know because my preferences are similar to yours, I said it before so I say it again: You WONT regret it.

sorry if it's confusing. I was saying the ps3 has better t and m games. just better controls for shooters too. and yes, there are older people that would like E games, but most of them are for younger kids. (viva pinata? and yes, I know thats for all of them) by the way, you two can continue to flame me if you like. my download is done, so I'm off to play battlefield 2 battleracer mod. hope it's fun.

Wasting my time here but anywho. You may think there better but that dosent make it true at all. evreyone has a diffrent taste in games. and e-m is for people who will enjoy it.

The Ps3 is worth its price. Lots Of great games available and Many great upcoming exclusives, the exact same can be said about the 360 (the rrod isnt as common as it was before) Fear not to pick either.

I would personally reccomend the PS3, I was dissapointed this year for Nintendo in terms of games.

next year looks more promising though.

If you choose a Wii over a PS3 I 100% guarantee you will regret it.

Hey everybody, I finally decided to get the PS3. So far, I only have GTA IV and played it for a while. I can say that so far, I'm liking it. I would like to thank everybody who gave their opinion as to which system I should get. :D
