This is just in reference to console gaming. #1 there are Wii games that have sold 2x and 3x what Halo 3 has sold to date. It's honestly not that much. Each Halo sold record breaking numbers relative to the 1st day, 1st week, etc. But bottom line is that it sells to a hardcore base at the end of the day. It's legs aren't even close to the highest of all-time. #2 Gran Turismo sells what 10 million on average (actual game not the Prologues)...that pretty much outsells everything that's a hardcore exclusive for consoles. Halo 3 has barely broke that mark and it's in its third iteration LOL. So...anything not made by Nintendo or named Gran Turismo is irrelevant when it comes to sales talk of exclusives on consoles really. heybooboo19
Dude Halo 3 has sold almost 9 millions copies by itself. With an install that is less then half of the Wii. What the hell are you on about?
The games that have sold 2x and 3x this gen are, Wii Sports (PACK IN, IN THE USA), Wii play (comes with controller), and Wii Fit (amazing sales for sure, though It's hardly a "core" game), and Mario Kart (Awesome game for sure).
The next game is Super Smash Bros, at almost 9 million. To dismiss Halo in lieu of basically a controller, a pack in, and a new controller/weight/exercise game is ludicrous and one sided.
Mario Kart is a beast. And it has been for years, rightfully so.
GRAN TURISMO has two 10 million sellers give or take, both on consoles that dominated the market. For Halo 3 to reach 9 million+ coming from a (huge) franchise on a system with less then 1/4 of the install base last go round is nothing short of astounding.
If These Wii games are the runaway success this gen (and they are)...., Then Halo 3 being VERY close to the top selling games this gen is no small feat and can't be dismissed.
