PS2's was great as well. Nice ambient music andartsy design.

The 360's is 'meh' because I'm scared it would freeze or give me some type of hardware error. Dreamcast had a 'oh crap, this is the future' feel to it. Gamecube's was just embarassing

lol I just turned on my psone like 3 minutes ago to play FFVIII and heard that start up and that man that boot screen is awesome, though I think the saturns is better (my first time with a FF game from that gen)

Been gaming since 1980 and have nearly 20 consoles...The PS1 is the most epic console to date when booting up..totally EPIC!!!

how about no bootup screen? just go directly to the game, or say..directly to a menu.

nes, snes, genesis...ect all had the best bootup screeens/...they didn't have em, you put a game it, turned the power on and the game started none of this waiting crap.

yes, it's also called a boot screen. or are you telling me it's a loading screen? because, i dont see any loading whatsoever.

Am i the only one here that gets REALLY freaked whenever they see or hear the PS1 boot-up? I think its because of way back playing Resident Evil 1/2 at my friends house and i just linked it with the PS1. Still, its pretty scary.

Even now when i look at it i shudder a bit.

It was a great system but unfortunatly with a very little success! Amiga500, on the other hand had hundreds of great games :D

i can't remember how many times i sat through that PS1 boot screen with my PS1 turned upside down praying the game wound load.

neo geo was alright,still have alot of the cart,cd and handheld units.

but my favorites are wondermega,fm towns marty 2, and the v-saturn.
