Sqeenix releasing FFXIII on the 360 in the states and Europe is a great move for them due to the 360 userbase in those two territories as it'll make them money.

If you're gonna start using games published by MS as proof that they bought that particular game then every game published by SCE would be the same.

Well according to the latest NPD data some PS3 games have higher attach rate then the ones releasing on the Xbox 360!

That may be true, but didnt the 360 multiplats overall sell more? In the end, I believe thats what really matters.

Yes, 360 is still selling more software overall. The PS3 is way being the 360 and Wii in terms of software sales. The reason the PS3 software sales has increased is do to games like MGS4, Ratchet & Clank and GT5 that were released this year. Last year software sales were really bad for the PS3. This year they are much better, but they are still behind the competition.

Madden is a game where the majority of its fanbase is in NA. Just like the 360, so its no surprise this kind of game sells more then the PS3 version. However its still pretty close compared to the fanbase size, the 360 has 5 million more consoles out there then the PS3 and the PS3 was only 370K shorter then the 360s version

SC 4 However was a different deal. The PS3 version was only 110K shy of the 360s numbers. The PS3 owners dont buy games myth has been dead for a while. And depending on the title and where it appeals too will depend on how close to or how far apart the PS3 numbers are from the 360s.

Games like NFS Prostreet, Army of Two, Madden, all sold more on 360.

Maybe Fifa sales from Europe PS3 owners are that amazing that it made up the difference?

if a console has an attatch rate of 1000 :1 but has ony sold 2 consoles then its still in very bad shape (not a dig at a console..its just an extreme example).

whats important is the amount of money made from those sales and the actual sales. attatch rate goes under the "there are lies, dam liee and there are stats" section of stats.

Don't believe me? Well think back to a few months ago or...practically any time before this thread was made. Remember how you guys downplayed the Xbox 360's higher attach rates? Funny how things change and how attach rates are important now that they're in the PS3's favor.

Considering that the Xbox 360's attach rates are still higher across the board, I don't think 360 fans are backtracking as much as you think they are.

The only down play I was hearing was ps3 owners counter acting the comments of lemmings that ps3 owners buy movies not games. As a ps3 owner I have I think 16 or 18 games counting some dl'ed games from psn aswell. All of those within a year so I for one never went with the attach rates of the 360 being bigger even if true. Since 7 360 owners I know have only about 4 or 5 games each, while myself and the 9 ps3 owners I know have over 10 games each all within a year.

And also the 360 owners games were just multiplates besides 2 having gears and 2 having Halo3, the rest of their library was gta4, cod4 and madden. Just a tid bit of info about the 360 owners I know and how great the library of the 360 really is and what most games 360 owners actually buy.

And I bet the top 5 games played on the 360 are:

1. COD4
2. HALO3
3. GTA4
4. BF:BC
5. GEARS/Madden09

So another words except for Bf:bc most 360 owners haven't had much that they actually want to buy or play for the past year. Hence low attach rates.

ps3 's attachement rate is less than 5.5 according to sony so you fail.

My PS3 attach rate is 2 games in 1 year. If everyone is like me Sony would bankrupt. :lol:
