One person =/= herd :roll: Seems appropriate that it gets hacked and opened up for a second time, to be fair Sony did well avoiding a truly widespread I fixable hack, maybe this time Sony will realise that spending millions chasing a handful of people is not worth the effort.

PSN was not hacked.

The PS3's firmware was hacked (again), but this time it was the latest version so there is still psn access. This is NOT a PSN hack. Its all taking place on the client.

Except that with clients compromised, and havin gacces to PSN, how long do you think it will be before PSN gets hacked? i recommend removing any credit card info now an dhope that sony doesn't keep them on record.

Anyway, PSN/Ps3 firmware had been hacked more then the 360, and if the 360 gets "hacked" it gets fixed in a couple day's. Unlike the PS3.

You can still play pirated games on the 360 so what exactly has been fixed? I really don't understand what you people are talking about. The article is about a cracked firmware to play pirated games and not PSN. So now you can pirate PS3 games... just like on the PC, the 360, the Wii, the DS, the PSP... big deal. Did I miss something?

I swear some people don't read articles before posting. This hack involves the system itself and makes it near impossible for Sony to fix current systems. The only way Sony could fix this is with new systems. This hack will let piracy run very rampant on the ps3 and allow people to still play online with pirated games. On the bright side, this could force Sony to release the ps4 which is long overdue.

you can't play online with a modded 360 or prrated games, you will get banned straight away, this Hack on the PS3 allows you to authenticate pirated software and play them on PSN without SONY even knowing, people seem to misunderstand, you can Mod a 360 or even JTAG it but you can't access the OS that is still secure, this Hack on the Ps3 blows the OS right open down to it's registry level.

After 77 million accounts compromised on PSN and I think it was 26 million on SOE I feel bad for anyone that still trusts Sony enough to give information such as credit card numbers. On my account I just have the bare bones info and I think I changed some and made up some info after the hacking.CanYouDiglt

Actually that is not completely true. MS has ban tons of pirates from xbox live every year,but every time they get ban they find a patch tool and actually avoid MS routines for detection,it has been a cat and mouse game since the xbox 360 was hack,and still happen to this days. Hell some time ago hackers found even a way to unban then self from xbox live,hackers don't even need access to the OS to play online,just a copy and xbox live,MS will ban you if they catch you,but that is a big if. Hell for MW2 alone MS banned close to 1 million units,your live account continues to work but your console is ban,sell your modded ban 360 cheap,get a core and slap the old HDD and there you go good as new.
