Playstation audience are younger, while Xbone are older?

I think Playstation are a young audience between the ages of 16-25 while Xbone audience are the age between 37-50. What do you you all think?

My reason is because us cows seems more like clowns who don't take any of these things serious. Lemmings on the other hand, always seem so uptight with something up their butt, they always seem to be more serious with gaming, they always seem to want to have a serious conversation about video games. Who wants to have a serious discussion about video games? Video games aren't politics.

No way. I think it is just the opposite. As I'm almost 44 and I love my Playstation products. Actually Playstation has been around longer as has more appeal to the older gamer as it isn't only shooters. I think it is just the opposite as most true PS guys don't deal with these childish forums and just play games. Everybody my age normally has playstations. Older people are normally more laid back and not as childish as your younger me first generation.

age has nothing to do with whether people are serious about something, it has to do with how they react

don't know what's going on this thread but one thing is for sure. PS4 will dominate. It's written on the prophecy. PS4 is salvation.

Quite the opposite based upon my experience. I'm 36 and most of my friends are either Playstation gamers or Nintendo gamers. My relatives on the other hand (cousins mostly), are mostly 25 and under as well as the bratty neighborhood kids in my apartment are XBOX gamers and seem to act as though the XBOX brand is the best thing since fire. And they tend to spend waaaaaay to much time on XBOX Live. That is why they're good at it....from sniping, two shot kills, faster reflexes, etc. That is why most PS and Nintendo gamers prefer the SP experience which also explains the small amount of MP online gamers from these 2 Japanese platforms compared to the XBOX brand.

All they care about are FPS FPS FPS and more FPS. Which is fine by me, to each their own. But it clearly does shows who the XBOX brand caters to and the genre that appeals to them more. Also the XBOX brand was built around the FPS genre, so no surprises there. I was once an (original) XBOX gamer back in generation 6 but gave up on the platform (along with Nintendo) because the PS3 just seem more appealing in terms of genre diversity and value I found in it.

I have run into younger users on the Xbox 360 than I have on any of my Playstation consoles.

Lems seem to be more mature usually. They look at quality of games and other features a gaming console has. Cows only look at graphics, graphics, and graphics, even if those graphics are just a tiny bit better, they make a big deal about it. Lems, in general, are usually probably more open to owning more than one brand of console each gen, whereas Cows are usually not. Usually, Cows would rather just not play a game, no matter how awesome it is, if it's not on available on their Sony console. This is probably a sign that many Cows are probably too young to afford more than one console each gen.

if that were true then lems would be cows. PS3's not only the best but the only last gen console being supported with exclusive content and Sony will continue the onslaught on PS4.

I work with a bunch of old folks who are in their late 30's and 40's. All of them only talk about Xbox, COD, and Halo.

I don't know which faction has the higher average age, but I do know that cows are more mature than lemmings. Cows understand that gaming is just a hobby that one shouldn't take seriously. Xboners are the ones who need to chill the f*ck out and realize there's a world other than the immature "Destined to save the universe" games that they play 24/7.

Mostly agree. I'll be 41 in a week. I own a 360 and a PS3 though. Will own both new ones by this time next year also. PS has been around longer, I have more gaming memories with them than Xbox. Having an original and a 360, I know they aren't just shooters. Besides PS put there big launch game to be a shooter, top selling game on consoles are shooters. But we all see what we want.

I think last gen PS3 probably had the older gamers, but this gen xbone might have them. Why? media features, only kids sit around gaming all day, adults are concerned with other functionality. Last gen Ps3 had a strong position in the media center as a blu ray player, this time around the bone has the strong position of a media hub.

Yes, I know for a fact Playstation have a lot of younger players then Xbox but its mainly 12-25 and Xbox Mainly 16-25. A lot more noobish kids running around on Playstation, I know that for a fact.

No, you're wrong. Xbox audience are 37-50. I work with a lot of older people in their lates 30's and 40's. A lot of them talk about Xbox 24/7..They're even looking into Xbox one because of the TV and NFL. Younger gamers like myself only want a game machine.

@supercowelitist: When you go on Xbox Live and play 'games' like the Xbox One was DESIGNED FOR. Then you will see a large variety of ages, not just a bunch of old dudes. But yeah, Playstation has way more kids on it.

When all those Cows killed their accounts with porn after a certain E3 or petitioned fiercely against some games going multiplat, tried desperately to claim second place about twenty times to the amusement of Lemmings or not long ago cried bitter tears because of the TLOU review it's all because they don't care and see it as a hobby .

The debate lems vs cows and which side is more mature is absolutely laughable. Both sites have outrageously fanatic fanboys whose comments keep sinking to new lows every other week. Neither side is more mature, there are idiots on both sides and both sides post the exact same BS. There's no logic, there is no consistency, it's just all day rage, hate and ridicule.

Cows were having a field day when you had to play for online multiplayer only on Xbox. Now it's on PS4, too, and suddenly it's ok. Lems were making fun of the PS3 as only being a blu-ray player and only useful as media center. MS put a large focus on TV integration into the XB1, and now it's cool to watch TV again.

On topic: I always thought Playstation had the older audience. Last gen, the simple reason may have been that the PS3 was so expensive and it was much more affordable for younger people to get an Xbox than a PS3. Sure, there are many other factors. I'm sure if you search Google for the average age of PS3 / 360 owners, you'll find the answer.
