I don't think these are the actual coverart. Sounds like it's some kind of UK only "limited edition" promo featuring certain characters, either limited edition covers or maybe a slipbox/tinbox kind of thing..
The actual cover art I see shows a bunch of characters, not just one. I think this is the official cover? http://www.gamestop.com/ps3/games/playstation-all-stars-battle-royale/101765 There is a UK one also that is different, but stil features multiple characters and not just focusing on 1 character.

Looks great. I look at that artwork and I'm like "This is something that I want to play". And the character actually look like they blend together somehow :P maybe it's the colors.
