I had seen those comparisions before in system wars. Finaly being able to use PS+, its not even closely related at all.
PS+ is basicly paying a fee to get Free games and exclusive access to bonuses ( i got 10 games for twelve pounds, thats crazy!!)

No but it's stimulating me in other places. Is there any discussion stimulated by the TC?

Both PSN+ and Xbox LIVE pale in comparison to PC online but between those two I'd take PSN+ plus over Xbox LIVE. I'd rather have a bunch of free games for a small fee than having party chat and better download speeds.

As long as you beat the game what else could you want?
everything is a rental service, so I fail to see why lems use that as ownage. The good thing about this rental service s that you make your money back within the first 2 or 3 months and you get 9-10 extra months of goodness. It's a rental service.
brennanhuff
Less rent the ability to play online even tho the bought the game and the console and are also paying for an internet service. I would understand if M$ wanted to charge for cross game chat and stuff, but charging you to play something you already bought is just wrong.

Cows need to learn the differance between FREE, and Rental. PS+ is essentially digital gamefly. Free would be like last year when Valve gave Portal away for free on steam. No payment required. Paying subscription fee for games =/= free gamesI had seen those comparisions before in system wars. Finaly being able to use PS+, its not even closely related at all.

And no, Live Gold isn't a rental service, it is a rip off. In PC, Sony and Nintendo consoles you can play online for free.
is there a cheaper way to play 360 games online?

You know, although I want to argue with your comment, I wont. Instead I will agree with you and tell you how your negative intended comment is actually can be flip into a positive one.
Ok here we go.
I agree with you, its not free. If you are paying its not free. BUT when you consider all the things you get, your $50 a year actually get you hundred of goodies. This year alone, I have gotten more that 15-20 games. Most of those games cost $10+, some of them $30+. Without PSN plus, i probably would of never played them cuz I wouldnt want to pay for all those games, but if I did want to pay for all those games, then I would had to pay anywhere from $150-$300 or even more.
The point is, your few dollars ($50) get you 300%-600%. Its not like you pay $50 and all you get is $50 worth of stuff and thats it (100%).
You right, not free, but way worth it (if you are an active gamer of course). Rental service? Sure it is, just like LIVE, you phone service, you internet service, you cable service, water service, car insurance, etc. For any of these things, you just dont pay one month for it and its still available to you for ever.

Sadly no. But, I believe if gamers didn't paid for Xbox Live back when Microsoft started getting into console business they wouldn't be charging for online. As far as I know M$ tried to charge PC gamers for play games using GFWL online but it didn't work. Same could have happened on consoles.is there a cheaper way to play 360 games online?

I just assumed that it was a negative toward PSN+ cuz SW likes to bash PSN+. I was wrong for assuming that it was a negative comment, just like its wrong of you to assume I was bashing him cuz he doesnt support SONY. He doesnt have to support SONY, as long as he is rational about it than its fine.

i know, thank you.[QUOTE="brennanhuff"]This. As soon as you stop paying for PS+ you can't play those "free" games. PSN+ is a discount service, much like sams or Cotsco, were you buy games cheaper in most cases, and you get to play several games no extra charge, now if you don't pay once your membership is up,you can't play those extra games any more, but anything you buy with a discount will continue to work, all the themes, and extra you also get are your to keep. XBL is also a rental the only different is it doesn't give you games with no additional charges,or basically anything other than online play. And if you don't pay at the end of the subscription you can't play online any more. It's a rental service.
