Playstation Move's launch was abysmal!

Uhhh *derp* no system has ever launched with AAA titles, and I hold the Playstation Move to the same rule, since it is pretty much a new system. So the launch titles suck. What's new? Doesn't prove anything.

NO system? How long have you been gaming? Sonic for the Genesis, Super Mario World for the SNES, Twisted Metal for the Playstation, Mario 64/Wave Race/Pilotwings for the N64, Rogue Leader for the Gamecube, Halo for the Xbox--to my knowledge, those were launch games.

RE5 and MAG are not launch titles for Move. They're games tacked on with Move controls. And for RE5 its sucks using the move anyway. And MAG well....MAG is terrible with or without the Move.

And I know that 100% of the people here that bash Kinect have never touch it as well.

BTW. I didn't say RE5 sucked with or without the Move. I said MAG does! RE5 just sucks with the Move alone! The controls are not that good.

I think extra peripherals are a waste especially if the better games are played with the default controllers and the exclusives for the extras suck.

No matter what any Sony Fan says on this board the general public looks at the Move as WiiToo. After seeing the commercials it is very obvious to joe six pack that Sony has copied the Wii. And before you start in on me about how great the technology is, the Wii's technology is good enough. As we have seen with the sales of the PS3, the general public does not care about technical superiority when a good enough alternative is available. I was not even aware that the Move has launched and I go to Gamestop almost on a daily basis.

The reason the Move will fail is because Sony really does not care about. You can tell by their launch advertising and how little of it there is. Msoft on the other hand is bending over backwards about getting the word out for Kinect and we still have a month and a half before it launches. By the end of next year the Move will be an after thought just like previous add-ons that Sony has launched.

Honestly I wasn't excited for the move for the launch games, I can just pop in my Wii Sports for that if I wanted. No the only thing I'll be getting move for is for games like Killzone 3, Socom 4, etc. So I can play it with the Move, have some fun with it, then switch back to a regular gamepad after a bit. :P

After reading this I laugh at how cows are hypocrites. When the Wii launched and afterward they said motion controls was pure gimmick and a waste of time. Now that Sony announced the Move and launched it they will say Sony will make better games for the peripheral and that motion controls are the best. Lemmings are going that way too with Kinect. wii didnt launch with motion plus even so its not as good and neither is the games like sports champions clearly blows away anything on wii.Also wii sub hd graphics and art dont help.killzowned24

Super Mario Galaxy both, Metroid Prime 3 and some other are great games. Heck, even the Sonic Unleashed version of the Wii blew the 360 and ps3 version.

Yeah that's usually the case also let's not forget how hard Microsoft is pushing Kinect while Sony didn't really put nearly as much effort with the MOVE.

I don't know about ONE HUNDRED percent, but certainly a very very high percentage are. HOWEVER, a lot of the negativity over Kinect in general doesn't even deal with using it, anyways. What people don't like is that the xbox lineup is extremely lacking in areas that drew its core audience to the console, and that most of MS focus is now pushing out Kinect--casual family game after casual family game. Even though they have announced some fairly "regular" games--if that's the word to use--the device comes out in only a few months, so gives off a bad vibe where core 360 gamers don't know if they can trust MS direction with the device and the future of the 360, in general.

Contrast that with Sony and the Move, where we already know about the stellar lineup of varied titles. Even ps3/360 gamers, on this board and elsewhere, have stated that fps games control rather well with the wii--"if only it were hd i'd buy one." In this respect the Move may become nothing more than a nice addition to the console that is more optional than anything else. I know I wouldn't mind trying some well made Move fps games.

like i said i went to 10 different stores today to browse and the move was nowhere to be found. i asked the managers they said people kept on buying them like hotcakes. i expect sony to announce move shortages and i hope they keep up for the high demand of the best motioncontroller in the gaming market right now
