Playstation network sucks the whale eye

I have been looking at a screen of twisting square, triangle, circle, for 6 + minutes now after accessing online storage. this happens often. My internet, on the PS4 Pro connection test says its operating at 91MBps and the PSN is said to be ALL up. These guys plain suck balls at online. HAHAHAHA

And water is wet

No surprise here, greatness awaits. Maybe Sony will increase the price and increase the speeds if we ask nicely.

It fucking blows. I get so pissed with the streaming and navigation of the store. It's much worse on ps3 though.

@cainetao11: I've had a similar issue a lot lately - just trying to get into the store on the system. The solution I have found is to go to network settings, uncheck network connection, and then recheck it. Voila - I will temporarily have perfectly fine PSN connectivity again.

Yup that happens to me aswell. Usually turning off the console and then turning on again works.

But yeah, it sucks. Its even baffling how Sony asks for our money for it. Pay to play online is a fvckin SCAM

I've never had that happen to me before. The only problem I have with my PS4 in terms of the network is that every other time I turn it on it doesn't want to connect to my network. That's what you get when Sony decides to put in the cheapest network card.

Can't say I've had such issues myself... But i have my ps4 hooked up with ethernet rather than relying on the shit wireless. Maybe that could be why?

Guess Im the luckest guy in the world cause I never have those issues with PSN, or some of you are complete liars...Wonder which it is?

Its almost 2017, and Xbox latest update just shit on PS4 download times. If your competitor can manage to have a stable wifi network there is no excuse. *ap crap

I hear the stampede a coming! All the cows will claim they download games at 1,000,000 Mbps with a 10 Mbps connection because the power of the PS4 increases their network speed! It is a known fact that the Playstation Network sucks balls at download speeds! When I had one it was painfully slow at downloading any games compared to the Xbox.

Matchmaking in Bloodborne was impossible yesterday for me because of this.

It does the same with accessing trophies. It's frustrating, for sure. I've noted in another thread that the 5ghz connection on my Pro has done wonders for my download speed (and I mean wonders), but certain things with the network can still be really slow.

That's impossible....Sony is perfect

can't say i've had issues with PSN myself, but the only online PS4 game i play is bloodborne

There are reliable confirmed sources that did extensive tests and found that PSN just isn't that good compared to the superior console online service Xbox Live.

91 megabits/sec is still plenty fast though, yeah something might be wrong

91 megabits/sec is still ~10 Megabytes/sec for a lot of people that's an awesome connection speed and as you say "plenty fast".

When wired connection i always used to find my ps4 downloaded slightly faster than my xbo (both very fast though). Has that changed since the update? I recently traded in my xbo so i can't test any longer!

I can't count the amount of times the store crashed on my Ps3, Ps3 Slim, PS4 and Ps4 Pro. Whoever wrote the software of the PSN Store has no idea how to write proper code. I'm at a point I make sure I saved my game before accessing the store because I lost progress when a Store crash rebooted my Ps4 -.-'

Shit indeed. But it goes well with the shitty ps+ free games.

Have 50+ Mbps download. Via PS4 Pro it's the same too. On launch PS4 it was around 40-45 Mpbs.

Funny how this is never brought up very much, I thought the Ps4 was streamlined and so so much faster to get around the gui, now learning this, horrible.

Compared to the PS3 it is. It's also better structured than the xOne (I really have a hard time navigating my xOne). But it has some unforgivable flaws.

Yeah the Ps3 was very bad, especially installs and updates. Myself personally, I have no issues with waiting a few seconds for things to load.

@sailor232: Waiting is no issue for me as well, but repeated crashes of the store that can even crash the system are.

Actually the problems I listed came with all the devices (at the time) wired to my router. It occurs on my wired Ps4 Pro just as much as on my wireless Ps4.

Never had any issues with psn except for maintenance. I do pay for good internet though. As for downloads I do that overnight. Updates come and go, only bulk updates take time.

I haven't had any issues with PSN like that so I don't know what exactly you are talking about with this complaint.

@ArchoNils2: I've used the store plenty over the years and it might have crashed once on me, and that was early on with the ps3. Sorry, but I can't believe most of what I read on here.

@vfighter: I gues sit depends on how often you use the store? I use it like twice or 3 times a week and I buy and download a lot of thing. I probably buy more stuff in the PSN Store in a week than most in an entire year, so it's obvious I get more problems with it.

I have come to always expect this on PSN, so I never even bother mentioning it. Same issues on my end to. Oh well, there could be worse things in life.

Yeah the update has done a good job on download speeds for the X1.
