@loe12k:
So, you say that Sony's is "losing" because they sold more PS+ memberships than M$ has sold Xbones?
----
What does that say about the lower selling 18 million selling Xbone? What does it say about the Wii U? Strange choice of words with "losing".
If we are talking about "losing", then we need to see what "winning" looks like for comparison. Do you have any numbers of what you deem a winner?
There's an estimated 48 million Xbox Live users (not to be confused with GOLD), and 18 million Xbones sold. That's right, there are more Xbox Live users than there are Xbones. Hmmmm...
What do these things mean, and should people create threads about them when both my statement and yours have obvious answers?
We don't have accurate Xbox Live GOLD numbers, only Total Xbox Live users (all PR releases combine "free" and "Paid Gold" memberships) from M$. We can't actually compare paid vs. paid for a proper analysis unless both companies give us accurate numbers.
Also, for comparison, we need links to see where you got the 21 million statement because you are only counting PS+, and not all active PSN users as it was stated:
"It was also mentioned that there are around 60 million total monthly active PlayStation users..."
and
"In comparison, by Microsoft's latest count, there are 48 million "active" Xbox Live members, though this counts free and paid accounts. Microsoft has not announced how many Xbox Live Gold members it has."

I was talking with a guy the other day....
Xbox userbase the majority are likely playing games online and buying DLC..
Besides the speculation, no citation, and anecdotal evidence, do you have any links? I already provided a few links. That's how it's done if you want to have a real discussion instead of conjecture based on nothing.
