Everyone has gone of topic a bit and started to go on about game library. Any console can release plenty of games of poor quality!?!

Plain and simple xbox is starting to look like a dated bit of kit! Xbox POOR MANS Ps3!?!

THe main point i was making was that all of the xbox things are dated. NO blue-ray, Batteries in controllers, No Bluetooth and external HDD use! No Motion controllers! Xbox might be better live in some respects but hey KEEP paying for it, we will enjoy playing our games on-line in a similar fashion for free!

My whole point was xbox needed to move with the times or lose grip on the market.

The Xbox IS moving with the times. I explained in a previous post. It's Sony that's stuck in a mentality where hardware is everything. That's been the conventional frame of mind with consoles for as long as Japanese consoles dominated the market. That is their comfort zone afterall.

What MS is bringing to the table is the focus on things that have really have nothing to do with hardware. Like the whole web 2.0 movement in relation to Xbox Live. Community. User interface design. I'm a firm believer that these are the reasons why the 360 has been so successful. Why Xbox Live is almost always considered superior to PSN despite the fee. This is why MS has been able to compete so well against a gaming industry juggernaut like Sony.

The lack of blue ray, controller batteries and external HDD doesn't seem to have a significant negative impact on the console.
