You are delusional. All their best exclusives are coming out on 360 and the Wii is selling with the same kind of theoryAllFX
Delusional? do you even know what that mean? And you totally missing the point of the thread with that 360 comment. I do agree Nintendo is getting better, but still hold strong suit to there big sellers. No where near the level of Sony.Â

You mean 3 million sold compared to 7 million?
I'm sorry but I don't even see Sony's level.Â
Wasn't their philosophy also "We don't need games to sell our system" or "we will sell 5 million PS3's without any games"MCGSMB
No, those are jokes that people take seriously and cry about it later on a gaming forum.Â

I have Sheep tendencies but I fully agree here.
[QUOTE="BioShockOwnz"]We all know Genji and Untold Legends is pure quality, :|

sigh...that wasn't the point.Â
Yes it was. You said Sony wants quantity over quality, but both of these games are awful.

Riiiiiiiiiiiigggghhht. Or those are statements that people hear and think must be jokes because they love their precious Sony so much.Â
Why do you think PS brand usually have crappy launches? They try to bring out quantity not quality.shungokustasuWas this supposed to imply that this is their strategy at launch, or throughout?
Because, quantity over quality is better than nothing, but not what I usually seek.Â
I think people are forgetting one of the major reasons Sony has won the past 11 years in gaming. It's philosophy on games. Quantity > Quality. What Ken K. said when ask what was the approach on a good library (PS1 era), "I rather have 100 games with only 1 that sold great, than 1 guaranteed game that sells a lot". That comment alone made me buy the PS1. You can't go wrong with that philosophy. Why do you think PS brand usually have crappy launches? They try to bring out quantity not quality. This is the reason why innovative, odd games come out on the PS brand like; Parappa the Rappa, Metal Gear Solid, Twisted Metal, Bust-a-grove, Ape Escape, Dance Dance Rev, Ico, Shadow of Colossus, Okami, Katamari Damacy, and many, many more. Sony gave a gateway for odd, wired ideas for games that Nintendo and Sega neglected. They were more focus on "will this game sell" more than "let's satisfy every aspect of gaming". PS3 is shaping up to do the same thing with its library like its predecessors. Right now, PS3 has good games; R:FOM, Genji, Ridge Racer, Motostrom, Calling All Cars, Godfather, Virtua Fighter 5, EA sports titles, Enchanted Arms, and more. People are just expecting the "great" game.shungokustasu
i don't know how many more games the ps2 had than the xbox and gc last generation but i believe the only reason that worked was because there was a sh*tload of consoles sold. if sony can't move the consoles i believe this strategy will fail. remember a lot of the time it's that one awesome game that people wait for before purchasing a console. i'm not saying the ps3 doesn't have that, i'm just saying that it's not a bad thing to have that 1 great game that sells a lot. quality works when there aren't many consoles sold and quantity works when there's many consoles out there.
Hey, philosophies are meant to change with the times. I remember Sony saying that they didn't want anymore 2-D games developed.JLuke360
True, they wanted an All 3-d console. That did change.Â

throughout, definitely. That is way they have library 2x bigger than the competition, and truly only a 2 handful of great games. People focus on FFX, MGS, and GOW because it's that "great" game, but really if you ask any PS2 owner he will tell you there are othere games he enjoy that didn't sell "great".

they sold a bunch of console because of that plan. Sure you can have Halo, Mario, or Zelda, but that doesn't move units. It's a plethora of games in your library that satisfy "everyone" gaming needs. Think about this Halo 2 sold 8 million units, but Xbox sold only 25 million units total. MGS3 sold 5 million, but PS2 sold 110+ million units total. You see a "great" title can only carry a console so far. It need support from other games to make the console sell well.

Doesn't the PS3 lack any games in general right now?
I mean I went to rent some games and walked down the PS3 section and it had like a handful of games,Â
then I get to the 360 section and it takes up two aisles. Not to mention that pretty much all of the PS3'sÂ
current games suck Â

I recommend going back and picking up some classic PS1 games too if you don't have Parappa, Ape Escape, Sukioden II, Critical Depth, and Jade Cacoon. Â

I don't have any of those either. Cheers buddy, I'll check them out. 8)
By the way, are they fully compatible with the PS2?

Get rid of Genji and Enchanted Arms from that list and I agree with you.
