Please tell me why PS3 is praised when 360 offers a better GAMING experience

Ill keep this simple. All this is directly available on gamespot.

- 360 has more then 200 games released NOW compared to PS3 (quantity)

- 360 has more A, AA, and AAA. Exclusive or multiplat, many games here cant be found on PS3 (quality)

- On the downloadable front, the combined weight of XBLA and now Community games completely dwarfs the PSN offerings. Also many more A, AA, and AA then PSN here.

- 360 has a more feature-rich online network. Features like Live Party only widen the gap.

- For multiplats, you can play them on 360 for half the price and upgrade accessories at your leisure.

- 360 gets games first (RB 2, Last Remant being recent examples) and better multiplats like Baja (A), NFS:Undercover (A), and Fallout 3 (AAA) for recent 08 examples. Plenty more in 07 and 06.

Personally I think PS3 is praised from people who loved their PS2 and refuse to believe the times are changing.

Just because it has more doesn't mean the games exclusive on the PS3 cater to someone's particular interests. Lets say I happen to enjoy Resistence, Little Big Planet, Motorstorm, SOCOM and MGS4 over anything on 360, regardless of score. I'd obviously get a PS3.

But the difference is that 360 offers more, in quality and quantity.

I sold my 360 elite and bought a ps3.

The game experiences themselves seem pretty much the same.

In regards to dealing with the machine itself, I like the ps3 better

You're also forgetting that most of the consumers don't really have a virtusexual relationship with gaming sites like we do.

They just go to the store, look at the adds there, check out the back of the game boxes and buy something.

I attribute part of Ms's succes to this. They're really muscling around their advertising.

True, but i admitted to being a blind sheep. I knew PS2 and Xbox had games that appealed me more, but I effectively blocked them out because I grew up on SNES and N64 and grew an attachment to Nintendo.

This time I actually did research on my personal favourite of the current 3. I hope to show peopel in my former situation that blind loyalty isnt inherent......its ***earned***.

I don't let internet sites dictate my taste in games.  That is completley ludicrous.  Surely you have a mind of your own?

Just because a game gets a really good score, it does not mean i will enjoy it.

Just because a game gets a very poor score, it does not mean i will hate it.

It's my personal taste which dictates which games, and which systems i will spend my money on.  No one, not you, not gamespot, not even your all mighty metacritic can tell me otherwise.

Your right.....but I hope to at least speed up the process or shed some light. Again, loyalty is earned, not inherent. Cows are inherently loyal where as MS earned my loyalty with 360.

Because Sony has delivered 15 years of great gaming. Its (PS3) first year was crap, but its second year has been better than 360s and will continue to do so. MS knows this but they're happy that they've gotten a bigger chunk of the market than last time.SolidGame_basic

Rofl if the 360's controller and hardware were any good, and if they stopped being greedy and didnt charge to play online maybe i would buy more games for it. But until then ps3 FTW
