Beat me to it. All I wanted to say, was, "...and so it begins."

I think Nintendo is dipping its toe into the warm waters of Apple's iOS. We'll see how the toe fares in a brave new pool.

Pokemon isn't managed by Nintendo at all. It is managed by The Pokemon Company, an independent entity. Any Pokemon related media coming to iOS (and this isn't even the first- a Pokemon anime app, and a Pokedex app have already come to the App Store before) is not at all reflective or indicative of Nintendo's policies at large.

Still owned by Nintendo.

Well now I don't know what to believe.

The Pokemon Company handles everything Pokemon for Nintendo in most of the world, Australia being on of the few places that Nintendo themselves handle business :) Cuz that's what Nintendo does, they handle business :)
