[POLL] Best Multiplayer Shooter of the Year

Sorry if this has been done recently, wondering which game SW thinks is Multiplayer Shooter of the Year.

So this just means online shooters only, regardless of how great the campaigns are or maybe, throw it out the window, it's strictly about multiplayer.

- L4D

- SOCOM 4 (it flopped anyway, but I still liked it)

Horde mode alone beats any mode the others offer. Most intense game mode ever even on normal difficulty, even crazier on hardcore/insane. None of the other games can match the necessary teamwork and skill to complete horde. hopesfall2own

I disagree, R2's co-op needs teamwork as well, but I can't really compare to Gears 2 because I haven't played it yet.

I haven't played the L4D demo yet, but I'm confident that Gears 2 Horde mode gives it fierce competition.

Except, L4D does that. Except with more variety, more coop foucused gameplay, and better game mechanics. Don't take my word for it though, by all means play the demo. The abount of different situations I've been in within that one small portion is utterly staggering.

I haven't played the L4D demo yet, but I'm confident that Gears 2 Horde mode gives it fierce competition.

left4dead demo and Gears2 Horde mode are definatlyt some of the best coop gaming ive played inawhile. Although i do preffer left4dead a little more, Horde mode is still a reason alone to own gears2 imo.
