Whoa, awful Uncharted screens. What's going on there... though to be fair the Gears ones are pretty rank too.

Uncharted looks gorgeous and should win in screenshots, but in motion with the whole package to consider I think MGS is th3 winn4r.

Yeah, MGS4 looks good because the character models are amazing. Just like how Gran Turismo 5 looks good because the car models looks amazing.

Um, what did you pick? Based on screens I would say GT5 looks the best because the car models are ridiculous, but it's a racing game... Uncharted is definitely more impressive as a total package, and MGS4 has to be played before you understand how good the graphics are. GeOW was mind-blowing... 18 months ago.

Stills truly don't do MGS4 justice, they can't capture the cinematography of the game.

Most important people in the gaming business say MGS4 is graphics king as well... Even GS said it. Ign also. Read any big name review on MGS4's visuals and technical prowess and you will understand. Dont ever look at a MGS4 pic and judge it on the pic.. play the game or see it in motion in your face.

Uncharted and MGS4 are neck to neck.

I still think R&C looks better than Uncharted. Maybe it's because it's prettier.

Well, I've played both Uncharted (with HDMI, don't even talk to me about playing Uncharted with components) and GeoW (on PC).

And they both look really good, although I'm not sure what GeoW looks like on a console. On an artistic level, I prefer Uncharted. On a technical level maybe, just maybe GeoW is better (because Uncharted is just phenomenal looking).

MGS4. Is...I don't know. The character models are simply amazing, but the environment detail lets it down a bit.

Should make seperate threads with polls comparing MGS4 to Gears, then Uncharted to Gears.

Would piss off all the Gears lovers!

PS: I'm not attacking Gears, it looks good.

Yep R&C is simply beautiful.... its so colourful and the worlds are packed.... its also runs smoothly throughout the whole game... I cant wait for the next R&C or else Jak 3..

Still i voted for MGS4, though Uncharted is really close... technically MGS4 has the edge, but Uncharted is beautiful... GT5P is amazing too.... oh well am a PS3 fan afterall so i love these games :)

Btw, know what other game needs to be in this convo? Naruto Ultimate Ninja: Storm. I'm serious. I've been playing the demo and holy god it's jaw-droppingly gorgeous. It literally looks better than the cartoon, and it animates much better as well. The animation is simply stunning. Overall, it's by far the greatest use of cel-shaded graphics yet.

I'm hardly some big Naruto fan at all but the game is seriously awesome, especially graphically (which I can't overstate). Controls really well, too.

I also think Super Stardust HD should be in the convo, even though it's a small downloadable. It's obviously more limited than the others graphically since it's doing easier things and on a much smaller scale, but it's also not really any less of a feast for the eyes.

First of all, the quality of some of those screenshots are terrible.....looks like someone used a camera on one of those Uncharted screens.....

Second, the last screenshot of MGS4 wasn't a running on a PS3.....that was an early build for the first trailer before they were working on it for the PS3..

I was going to steer clear of Naruto, but your opinion is usually spot-on so I may have to give it a go.

Uncharted is the best looking console game. GeoW or MGS 4 don't have enough colors to be even considered the best looking games. Games with more colors use more power. In GT 5 yes the cars look amazing but most backrounds in the game are lacking. Now when the final game comes out this will be a different story but that won't be until next year.-Renegade

MGS4 is plenty colorful in act 2. Did you even play it? The first act is grey because it's a bombed out warzone.

n certain parts mgs is the winner easily but then other parts of the game are pretty damn rough..

this is a hard choice to pick a winner since they all up one another in some aspect or another...

answer: they are all damn fine looking games each in their own respect.
