Rikusaki, by any chance are you a GT5P / GT5 fan ??? :)
GT5P is amazing graphically, and waiting for the update PD promised with car damage.... I hope though in the final game, online will be much better...

I like GT5P, but I also like Uncharted and Ratchet.
It's just really easy to get good GT5 screenshots.

That game really did look great. Plus there was so much going on all the time it really was amazing. But people seem not to acknowledge it just becuase of the art direction.

C'monnnnn guys.
I don't even get a LOL?
If everyone shared my sense of humor, SW would be a better place.

No! We are completely serious here!
Those games you posted look good though lol
super mario galaxy actually looks quite good.
The thing is Nontendo are very clever with their art direction. They use bright colours and less detailed environments yet they still look really good.
Want the best graphics on a console?
Look no further!
Just kidding guys, please don't kill me.
x_SuperMario_x
lmfao sure...........Well I'm not going to hate because although Galaxy and Twightlight Princess don't have the technical prowess of other top-tier PS3 & 360 games the art direction in both of those games is fantastic.
I give BioshockOwnz mass props for mentioning Ratchet and Clank as I feel that game is very underrated when the argument for best visuals on consoles comes up. The game looks like a Pixar movie for god sake!!
When it comes to that poll for me its a coin toss between MGS4 and Uncharted both games are visual tour de forces.
Gran Turismo 5: Prologue has car models that are as photorealistic as it gets but the environments are just a tad stale.
Gears of War........how it's even still even mentioned in the best graphics on consoles argument is a testament to how good it looked when it came out almost 2 years ago. The game has been topped though and anyone who says otherwise should really just stop hating on Sony just cuz their....Sony lol.

LOL. Well if I posted bad-looking games, someone would really kill me.
After alot of playing and thinking, I went with MGS4, it is the best console graphics, the draw distance, the details, it is not just a copy/paste locations, the locations are incredibly detailed in every way possible, the character models, every little thing, the fact about the in-game graphics thats is equal to the in-game cutscenes blows my mind.
And here are some pics I've caputred recently, enjoy.

Yep R&C really looks great, there is much going on and it runs at 60fps, imo it's one of the best looking console games but i still think Uncharted is the winner.
Realism:
This one is easy, GT5P tries to be the most accurate racing game ever made, with the most genuine car design, tracks, physics and overall presentation. The games screenshots exhibits near photorealistic quality. MGS4 comes second with great characters that have a very impressive realistic feel to them. MGS4 level design is also very realistic. Gears and Uncharted do a great job, but they both have an exaggerated art direction, that pulls them away from the realism.
GT5P > MGS4 > GeoW Uncharted
Art Direction:
All games are very impressive in this department, but one game truly stands out of the bunch and that game is MGS4. The presentation is top notch. The narration and cinematic direction is a cut and above every game before it. The design is convincing: especially the characters, realistically animated with emotion. The mechanical ones are a sight to behold: Gekkos, the MkII, The Beauty and the Beast unit, both Rex and Ray are superb. The art direction in GeoW edges out Uncharted. The GeoW world is basically richer in art than Uncharted, with basically that convincing post apocalyptic destroyed beauty thing going on. Does GT5P have an art direction? If cars were art....
MGS4 > GeoW>Uncharted>GT5P
Technology:
Gamespot stated that MGS4 is 'the most technically stunning game ever made', I can only concur. You can see that Konami had put everything they could put in a game with the hardware they had. If they made MGS5 on the PS3 years from now, that game would not look much better than MGS4. The detail, lightning and animation is brutal. Uncharted and GeoW are in terms of scale and detail very similar games. But Uncharted edges out GeoW in this department with basically beating GeoW in its own game. It just look slightly better. GT5 will rock with 60fps, 1080p, 16 cars, brutal lightning and what not, but for now GT5P just isn't as impressive as the other games in this department. Also I must say as a racing game (the other three games are third person action games) it is hard to compare.
MGS4>Uncharted>GeoW
MGS4 IS CONSOLE GRAPHICS KING.

Very good post. I agree, but I think in the Art Direction area, MGS4 and Uncharted would be tied.
I still think Uncharted looks slightly better than MGS4 (althought Gears 2 will look better than both, IMO).
Btw, these polls are pointless. It's basically fanboys trying to vote for a game on their system (although I do think you picked the top 4 correctly).
[QUOTE="mistervengeance"]great post. first actually good comparison that used GOOD screenshots of each game.Rikusaki
Thank you. :)
Sorry that I didn't include Ratchet. :(
I think Heavenly Sword also deserves a spot in this comparison, but then again, that's just me.I still think Uncharted looks slightly better than MGS4 (althought Gears 2 will look better than both, IMO).

Yeah andI think people arn't voting for GT5 because they just don't like Gran Turismo.
I nominate Ratchet & Clank
If you're going to put Gears you might as well add UT3 (PS3)
And isn't Mass Effect the best looking game on the 360?

MGS4 might just become the new graphic's king:o

Uncharted's art design is really quite generic and doesn't bring anything new to the table, particularly when it comes to the indoor environments, of which there are many. The character models beyond the main characters are also straight out of Stranglehold. The hand-painted textures are nice, though.
MGS4' art design is striking, especially the character models, which manage to look cool without seeming like they're trying too hard. Almost any other artist but would have made Snake look completely laughable in an Octocamo, but he doesn't in MGS4. It just works, and that's mainly because the art is so cohesive throughout. The Beauty & The Beast unit also give off a disturbing vibe partly because of the way they are drawn and modeled.

UT3 and Gears use the Unreal Engine, not sure about ME.
MGS4 uses an engine built specifically for the PS3 I think.
