POLL: Does SW want a FFXIII Mega Hype Thread?

All over these boards I see "Hype Threads" where people ask what score they think a game will get, and a few screenshots are thrown up. Let me tell you something: That is NOT a Hype Thread. A Hype Thread is supposed to build excitement for a game, a virtual festival for one specific piece of potentially awesome software. A poll and some screenshots aren't going to do that.

Naturally they take a lot of time. Like, a lot of time. So I'm asking to see if people would be interested in a Final Fantasy XIII Hype Thread. It wouldn't be any good if I made it and people weren't all that interested. Look to my God of War III Hype Thread to get an idea for how big I want to make this thing.

So, I'm basically asking do ya' want this? And if so when would you want it?

NOTE: The reason this is in System Wars as opposed to something like General Games Discussion is because the thread will be posted in System Wars, ultimately. I want people to be excited, and speak their mind - its good discussion.

No hype threads are lame, learn 2 use google skills gets better results

Personally i dont mind, i say FFXIII will be a 9.5 to 10.0 on gamespot :)

I like hype threads since they provide a lot of information that I would be to lazy to look up myself. I thought I knew everything about GoW3 but I found soem stuff out from you hype thread for that game

Be careful whenever you decide to hype a game. If it is hyped to a point where "this game will grant you 3 wishes" is the general feeling, then it will not satisfy people's expectations as much if there was never any hype.

I would also wait till 2009 is over to hype any game. Be the first person to hype FFXIII in 2010!

I guess what I'm saying is; this is your mission. So if you want to make a hype thread for FFXIII, then just go for it. Don't need anybody else to back you up on it. Make your case for why you think it'll be awesome... and from there let the chips fall where they may :)

That's true, however, isn't it better that Final Fantasy XIII be contained in a single thread intsead of it overcrowding the board like on the day the latest trailer was released? More FFXIII threads means less popular games might be pushed back to Page 2 and be ignored. What's more, there's a lot of misinformation and lack of knowledge surrounding FFXIII and this is a great opportunity to clear things up.

The is absolute no chance FF13 will get an 9.5+ on gamespot.

The max score it can get is a 9.0

I'd say go for it since FFXIII will be one of the biggest threads of 2010, even with SW's hate towards jRPGs.

They seem to have hired a professional writer to do it. It's actually pretty good. I don't know about other people, but if the novels are any indication I think the "drama" in the game will be quite compelling.

Plus, you probably know a lot of information that I don't know about.

Actually, the game comes out in the states in four months. Beginning of January would be a perfect time to do it I think. Gives the hype thread time to grow with info and just kind of settle in, yet people who wish to find the information can find it whenever by that point.

For those of you saying it's too early, it's already releasing in one region in less than 30 days so it's not as if it's all THAT early.
