Light Saber is our previous winner and we move on to the last round before the Finals next week. I originally tried to go with unusual and unique weapons that wouldn't be found in the real world. Weapons that were far from oridnary. But, here by popular demand, I made the Conventinal Firearms Edition to the Polls. Here are the classics for shootin em and blowin em up real good.

halo 1 pistol dominates all.  perfect FPS weapon for multiplayer.  plus it has a SWEET melee.

Shotguns are the most fun, cause it's just spray and pray. Sniper Rifles a close second. They'd be first, but sometimes games make them crappy, or the reload takes too long, so they can't win in general, IMO.

Does the Flak Cannon count as a shotgun for Unreal Tournament? In that case, then I choose shotgun.

Otherwise Sniper Rifle.

if you are a noob that can't aim.

in general the shotgun is the best its great in terms of satisfaction and sheer enjoyment. In multiplayer its always best to knife kill people. ;)

Um... it has a large circular opening that fires what could be best described as molten shards of metal in a general cone pattern. I'd call it a shotgun, at least its primary fire.

well, I've always loved sniping in WWII games, GRAW, and even in real life...when I'm playing airsoft :P so I have to vote for the sniper rifle.

Sounds like a shotgun to me. That's the official ruling then :)

Oh and for sniper, shotgun, and rocket launcher, I forgot to include Gears of War as an example listing (made the thread in a hurry to catch up from the forums down time, and can't change the Options now :oops: )... but really you can vote among those weapons from just about any game you liked it in.

This is one of the more exciting polls, with Shotgun and Sniper Rifle in a dead heat, and Halo Pistol nipping at their heels. It's just Day 1 for the round, so it's ANYBODY'S game now.

Then in a week the 4 finalists duke it out. And considering these are the 4 most popular, its going to be the most heated. oooooo I can hardly wait :D

This poll lacks Snake's Socom, I guess on that list I choose the Sniper. When you use a sniper to out snipe someone, you get so much satisfaction. I recently got into online gaming, and this one of the best ways to get better and show you true skill against some of the best.

This poll lacks Snake's Socom, I guess on that list I choose the Sniper. When you use a sniper to out snipe someone, you get so much satisfaction. I recently got into online gaming, and this one of the best ways to get better and show you true skill against some of the best.

Halo pistol. I still believe the rocket launcher is the cheapest weapon of all time. Especially in Halo 2.

Halo pistol. I still believe the rocket launcher is the cheapest weapon of all time. Especially in Halo 2.lild1425


Rockets have the most destructive power among conventional weapons, it's an easy 1 hit kill, so there might be a point in it being cheap. In Halo 2 the Battle Rifle is usually my 1st choice, but even I'll admit, hurling explosive death at your opponent is FUN :twisted:

Actually next Round (beginning tomorrow night some time after 10pm EST) is the FINALS. And it's gonna be a wild one too. Gravity Gun vs BFG vs Light Saber vs (?shotgun?). The voting is sure to be heated for this.... ohhhh I can hardly wait :D

my favourite or most used halo weapon online is the pistol, which is surprisingly powerful when you could choose a shotgun, rocket launcher, fuel rod or sniper rifle. PISTOL FTW

The shotgun in Doom and I also like the shotgun in SOFII, nothing can compare to the noise that gun makes and when you hear it in a mp game you know your going to see one of your limbs fly off.
