(Poll) Super Mario Galaxy? 9.0 or 9.5?

I MADE THIS JUST FOR FUN, SO DON'T TAKE IT TO SERIOUSLY!!! PLEASE!!!

Gamespot may be a little harsh sometimes, but I am sure, 100% sure (first time that I am), that Super Mario Galaxy will get at least a 9.0

Why you ask? Because it has better graphics, and probably better sound, than both Metroid Prime 3 and Twilight Princess.

And if this isn't enough, being more innovative and allot of fun to play, certainly is.

And Gamespot does value innovation.

If aren't convinced read the last "Hands On" made by Gamespot, it clearly screams "this game is going to get Editors Choice".

Not to mention the "one month before release" Launch Center (no game this year had one so early, not even Mass Effect or Bioshock or Halo 3), although this could mean nothing...

So I think it's absurd to think that this game will have a score inferior than (((9.0)))

I COULD BE WRONG... BECAUSE AFTER ALL IT'S JUST MY POINT OF VIEW... AND I CAN'T SAY I HAVE THE BEST POINT OF VIEW...

(OH AND POST SOMETHING PLEASE, SO THAT MORE PEOPLE CAN GET A CHANCE TO HAVE FUN VOTING AND SEEING THE RESULTS)

There seems to be a lot of variety to the gameplay. One might even say the game has a bit of an identity crisis. "A" score confirmed?

Joking, BTW. SMG looks great, im not big in to Mario games but this sure looks like AAA potential.

Anyways GS lately can have some reviews that say one thing but score different. So as much as I'm confident for mario scoring AAA, it's never certain with GS

9.5 is my guess. It looks to REINVENT the platforming genre (with the gravity and planet mechanic and everything.)

Don't forget, GS usually gives a 10 or two every generation, if any game would get it it looks like it would be this one.

I'm not predicting a 10 though (even though I think it's possible,) because 10's are so rare, but I think 9.5 is the most likely score.

It just looks so, so polished and refined.

i have read ONM's review (97%), Deeko's review (10/10), and project tm's review (9/10).

never, in ANY of those reviews is there a SINGLE major flaw. project tm praised the game so much for being innovative, and just amazing that its a surprise they didnt give it a 10 (they seem to have a policy sort of thing not to give out 10's). Deeko said how superb the game was, and the only problem ONM had with it, was that it actually ended, while all commented on how this was a landmark game and the peak of plantformers. it was also commented on on similarities to super mario bros 3, and being the 'super mario 64' of this time. the graphics are amazing, the gameplay superb, and settings innovatively unique. add to that orchestrated sound anf you have yourself a classic, if this gets below a 9.0 then i will personally herd a crowd of deadly raging sheep to gamespot, to have a discussion on how their score was wrong.

8.5 on gamespot, just to be safe.. Gamespot isnt predictableHaziqonfire

nintendo games without chainsaws still get the coveted 8.8.

Instead of looking for the good things in games, GS always seems to focus on the bad. Don't be suprised when every other site gives it 9.5-10, and GS slaps it with a 8.5.BuddaX

Even after Twiligh Princess, Metroid Prime 3 and Super Paper Mario, I will be really suprised if that happens!

Don't get me wrong, Super Mario Galaxy isn't a perfect game. But Gamespot giving it below a 9 is basically saying that it doesn't recommend it to everyone, and there is absolutely no way that's happening. It'll be an Editor's Choice game.mdisen2

The game looks like it has potential for a 9.0 I'd say. If this game is good and SSBB is great then I'll probably be picking up a Wii in Spring 08.

Sadly I'm losing faith in their reviews as of late. The SMG review will make or break their credibility for me.

If everyone else gives is 9.5 plus and gs is the only one that gives it 8.5....GS is gonna be the one that looks like they have egg on their face.

Yes, but SMG is bigger than R&C. If they wanted to flop it they would just give it slightly below what it is hyped (8.5) and then write a horrible review about it. But they wouldn't give it a 7.5
