POLL: Super Mario Galaxy or LittleBigPlanet?

So SW, which do you think is better?

I'm not going to vote because I haven't played both, so I don't have a final judgement.

EDIT: Haha, lol I just realised I can't view the results if I don't vote, so I'm going to vote that they're both equally good.

Super Mario Galaxy, from what I've seen( I didn't vote)...

Haven't played either, though.

I haveboth and thier both good but I have to give it to Mario. LBP is so short it only seems like half a game compaired to galaxy.

This is a perfect example of when innovative gameplay design and originality don't pay off. As a game, even though I love LBP, it just can't stand toe-to-toe with the godfather of platforming. SMG is the most polished and well made 3D platformer in existence. The floaty jumping mechanics and plane-style levels really hurt LBP in the gameplay department.

Super Mario Galaxy = Platformer of the Generation

LBP = forgetable same old 2d mechanics and simple level design

One of them is one of the most polished platformers to ever exist. The other one can't even compete gameplay wise with the original super mario bros not to mention mmegaman 2 smacks it around like a child. SMG wins by a landslide, this isn't even a competition in my opinion. LBP has a long raod to walk before even being compared to mario as a platformer.

Wow, really people Mario, I stopped playing those games when I was about 7. LBP has endless possibilities from playing new levels everyday and making your own, it truly is a lot of fun. Super Mario...eh...I played my 5 year old cousins copy at his house and it was super boring....

No amount of level making will make the gameplay mechanic not suck. As far as I'm concerned, one play through of mario galaxy is better than anything LBP produced or will produce in the next 20 years. As for mario, my age and maturity have nothing to do with how Ipick games. I'm sorry that you feel the need to pin the immature title of kiddy and such on us because we differ from you. Don't worry though, when you get older and more mature (this is the really important one), you stop caring about what people think about your habits and learn to do things for you and not to impress others.

Anyone that chooses LBP just shows howbad their taste in games is.

Aww come on people, stop being fanboys. I have SMG, I have yet to play LBP. But I have to go with SMG because that game is just sheer genius and fun. I have both Wii and PS3 and I need to get LBP since I've seen and heard great things.But from what I've seen the mechanics are no where near as good for a platformer to much over done ragdoll, that's not good for a platformer.

LBP. It's alot more creative than SMG by far.

LBP is more a toy than it is a true game. Its a great toy mind you, but the better platformer is SMG hands down.

SMG and it's not close. It is easily the best 3D platformer ever made. LBP has great level creation and physics stuff but the actual platforming mechanics are pretty mediocre.

I pick Super Mario Galaxy. It's new, yet it reminds me why I got into gaming in the first place (15 years ago).

Super Mario Galaxy is the better game but Little Big Planet is the more creative and innovative one. It has done things most games could never accomplishe.

Little Big Planet, it is so much more in-depth.

Own 'em both and I have to go with SMG. Having said that, if you own a PS3 and Wii and don't own both games you're crazy.

Wow 108 and someone is yet to say they are both crap, I'm surprised considering this is system wars. But anyway I went with SMG because I couldn't really get in LittleBigPlanet all that much :(, unlike SMG which I loved.

i have both and like them both but SMG is more fun for sure, but there isnt as much customisation and stuff you can do in it.

SMG. It's a far better platformer. I couldn't get into LBPs floaty feel.

While I'm sure LittleBigPlanet is a great game on its own, Super Mario Galaxy takes the cake. It is the best 3-D platformer I've played this generation, and possibly the best I've played, ever.

Super Mario Galaxy is prime. Perfect gameplay, beautiful music, and a fantastic art style. How it did not get a 10 here and GTAIV and MGS4 did, I'll never know. (Not saying those games don't deserve it but SMG deserves it more)

LBP is a glorified level editor with floaty gameplay lawlz.
