Poll: The wii has the absolute WORST line up of 2009, maybe even this gen!

Like i said in my last point, the highest selling games in video game history also have a decent score. And now, before this thread gets totally hijacked, lets keep this topic about wii's 2009 line up and how it compares to its opponents :)asyrian758

Wii fit sold way more than galaxy and it only has mediocre scores. Wii Sports Resort will probably sell more than Tiger Woods (an AAA game) on wii, despite the scores.

Think 360 got the worse lineup this year, all good games for it is multiplat i can play on Ps3. Wii have atleast some good exclusives i cant play anywhere else...

The Wii will always have the worst year. I still think it was more than solid though. Might even get better if gamespot would review some damn wii games.

The House of the Dead Overkill is easily the most stylin' light gun game I've ever played. It has this amazing sense of humor and seems like it would have fit in just fine with the 360/PS3 line-ups. Instead I gets to shoot zombies/mutants in one of the funniest and coolest games released in all of 2009. Look really hard man, because my face is as straight as a line in a vacuum (I don't even know what that means).

If you'd like more games listed homeslice lemme know. But if you'll act a bit more mature and admit that people are allowed to have their own preferences I'll let this whole thing slide, mmmkay?

I've had every Nintendo system and have been a fan of all its major franchises since the beginning, but the Wii is a letdown. Anyone who says otherwise is just being an apologist. They've clearly made a decision to go for casual gamers, children, and people who live in nursing homes — everyone except actual gamers.

Some of the exclusives are ok, but they aren't as good as the apologists would have you believe. I bought Little King's Story because it was on sale and it is completely overrated. Same with MadWorld, same with Conduit, same with every other exclusive that was supposed to redeem the Wii. In the end, it's an outdated, very well-marketed, toy. The online is an embarrassment — no functionality, no chatting except for friend codes, nothing. And Nintendo refuses to do anything about it.

I had to get a PS3 because I realized I was missing out on every good franchise coming down the pipe.

I still have my Wii, so I'd like for them to turn it around, but I don't have high hopes.

You don't realize that the Wii might beat or tiethe HD consoles in genres that appeal to an individual more. There are people who don'thave FPS/action adventures as their favorite genres. Aside fromthose (as well as simulation racers and action RPGs) genres, the Wii holds up very well to the PS360 combo give or take 1 or 2 points in total aggregate score in said genre. It just so happens that the Wii is more appealingin the genres I like to play the most.

I like the Wii line up much more than the PS3 line up. I don't own a Xbox 360 so I won't say anything about that. For me, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Crystal Bearers, Silent Hill: Shattered Memories and New Super Mario Bros. Wii are enough. In all honesty, I kind of regret buying a PS3 because I hardly ever use it, except for when I'm watching movies maybe once a week. I might buy Uncharted 2, but it just doesn't interest me that much. So far, I've been disappointed with most of the big exclusive titles on the PS3, MGS4 being an exception, and I'm afraid I'll be disappointed with Uncharted 2 too, although I'm not hyped about it at all.

Yet in terms of exclusives, the argument could be made that it's been better than the PS3s, and it's a given that the Wii's exclusive lineup has been better than the Xbox 360s.Stevo_the_gamer

The problem with Wii's lineup is almost every game is nongamer friendly trash or part of a niche fanbase. There aren't really any all-appeasing AAA hits outside of SMG.

Exclusives are the most important aspect of a gaming console's library.

The wii only gets exclusives.

That is wrong on so many levels.

Saying it's "Exclusive" lineup compared to other "exclusive" lineups is asenine because you're comparing the WHOLE LINEUP of the Wii for the year as opposed to a SELECT few from the entire lineup of ps3/360.

Every game on the Wii is exclusive? Wowsers.

Don't get me started on next years line-up.

The new silent hill, new super mario bros wii, and galaxy 2 are my most anticipated games. I anticipate them more than assassin's creed 2, modern warfare 2, or most other 360/ps3 multiplats. The only game I anticipated more was Uncharted 2. I'm really anticipating the new Ratchet and Clank, but not as much as I'm anticipating New Super Mario Bros Wii.

Seriously man? Did I say at any point in my post that I only like to play Wii games? Or did I state anywhere in my post that I only own a Wii? Honestly, you're not doing yourself any favors because all you had to do was click to my profile to see that I play a lot of games across many platforms and that my platform of choice is the Xbox 360. Hell, I just placed an order for FOUR 360 GAMES (at super awesome prices though... PGR4 brand new at $4? YES PLEASE!)

What I'm telling you though is that there are good Wii games. Games worth playing just as much as anything else. I'm telling that there are people with different preferences and this year I've enjoyed a lot of Wii games. I've also enjoyed a lot of 360 games.

And by the way, we're probably the same age if that chick in your sig drinking is a real person you know, but you aren't keeping up too well with me in this conversation. You're coming off as very close-minded, just an FYI. I never said I'd rather play one platform's games over another. You just asked for a list of good Wii games and why anyone would want to play them over something on the 360. I really enjoyed those three games (and if you asked I would have listed more). You asked and I told. Now you're trying to skew the argument. I wasn't born yesterday so try and keep up. ;)

I have a Wii and a PC with an Xbox360 controller. Laid out before me, a week ago, were Batman AA, which I have not yet finished, and Muramasa, a game I've finished multiple times. I picked up Muramasa and played that.

Distinguishing between hardware you already own is pointless and childish. Do I care that Batman AA isn't a PC-exclusive? Do I care that it's not on the Wii? No. It's a stupid and pointless concern.

By and large, such "debates" are only held between kid gamers who don't have enough money to buy multiple consoles - all of which are cheap enough for most any working stiff to afford. There is no need to have loyalty to any one brand when you can just have it all.

You would rather play Wii games then the games on PS3 or 360... I just have a hard time seeing this. I understand preference comes into play, but I think so does the age of the gamer or which systems they own. If you only own a Wii or are too young to notice trash yeah, have at them but look at what else you could be spending your money on.

My opinion is that the 360 had the worst year. This is where exclusives come into play. Why? Because I own all three systems and have not baught a single 360 game that was released this year because the exclusives didn't interest me. Multiplats are great and they can definately fill out a library, but honestly I'm only buying them for one system so the fact that they are available on the 360 and PS3 doesn't mean much to me.

2009 has been amazing for the wii this far

i bought a hell lot of more wii titles then i did for the 360

i dont know exactly about the ps3 lineup

but i do know that for me the wii had a better lineup then the 360

i did not consider to buy a ps3 yet because most of the ps3 games are on 360 and the few exclusive games dont appeal to me that much

That's a terrible over-generalization, especially in a place where many own the Wii. Obviously we are discerning enough, have done enough research to know that we'll enjoy the Wii and the games that are released for it. I know quite a few people who have chosen to make the Wii their only console and are very happy about it.
