No. It's nice and small but it looks very cheap.
I'm just hoping the current slim drops in price as a result of this one coming onto the market. If it does, I'll just get that one.
I have zero opinion on the Super Slim PS3, I don't have one and I have no intention of getting one in the near future.
I wouldn't mind looking through the Super Slim PS3 OS though, the current slim PS3 offered extra high quality 7.1 sound options not found in the Fat PS3 models.
I'm neutral. It looks OK. Not really a fan of the "top loading", but it wouldn't really bother me either.
What's more important to me is if it's alot more efficient than the regular slim PS3/XBOX360.
Either way, a price cut definitely is necessary to really justify these consoles at all at this point. If the super slim bundle is like $149 for Christmas (Black Friday) they would sell it out no problem. At the same price as the previous slim it probably isn't going to attract many people.
if it was priced at $150 i would have loved it.LP4EVA2005
I'm surprised they didn't do $199 already, but I think a price cut to $199 is coming.
Last holiday all the bundles for both systems were $199, so this year they might even hit $149 temporarily. I definitely have my eye out for a $150 bundle for either or both consoles (additional PS3 or my first 360). But I'm sure a permanent $199 price cut is coming relatively soon.
Did i miss something on where these price complaints are coming from? Did they announce a standalone system package or is everybody bi*ching that the pack in game costs a little cash? Anyways, I prefer the look of the Classic PS3. Looks like a premium product (and for $600 when it was new, i would expect to less) Trying to sell my 360 right now, to get either more stuff for the PS3 i already have or a new super-slim for my room.darkspineslayer
I think alot of peoiple assumed a price cut because typically a new Playstation model has directly coincided with an immediate price cut, not for it to be basically the same price and ONLY available as a bundle (which is a de-facto price increase).
I think that's only a short term issue though, no doubt there will be crazy sales for the holiday bundles, and a permanent price cut can't be too far off.

its a small gamble for sony that may work in their favor... Profit wise, sony is in a meteoric third place and if they can parlay the public to thinking the new (and much cheaper) ps3 is worth the same money as the much more attractive slim, they will win... It probably will have a drop in and around the holidays but, I'm kinda thinking everyone will... If I were sony and MS, Id cut a minimum of $50 off around the WiiU launch and put some more pressure on nintendo.[QUOTE="2Chalupas"][QUOTE="darkspineslayer"]Did i miss something on where these price complaints are coming from? They compliment eachother... I call my ps3 the "red headed step child" as it always plays second fiddle to the much more occupied 360 in my house... My 360 hasn't been turned on in months, and its only been around so long because I was on the fence about losing all my Rock Band DLC. I refuse to pay for Gold, meaning half of every game i would buy is locked out to me.
I can rent Halo 4 and Gears Judgement and play them on my dads 360.
If the PS3 is the redheaded stepchild to you, the 360 is my child chained in the basement who i infrequently toss chunks of spoiled meat to. I can get the glorious Xbox experience (Multiplatform titles) in the same glory on PS3. Hence, I don't see a reason to keep my 360.
At first, I thought the ridges in the middle were ugly, but after seeing more pictures of it, I like it more. The look is kinda growing on me.
No. I hate it. I'm hoping they still sell Slims, because the new one isn't even worth a penny to me. Only thing I like, more hard drive space.
No, but I'll likely buy one to replace my current system. I have a good feeling about it being more resistant to overheating.
