i like the wii would like to play. nothin' beat a wierd asian!
to bad i dislike the wii, lol
ps2's "live in your world play in ours" was the best
but out of those umm, i guess ps3. wii would like to play isn't really creative and i don't like jump in because it just doesn't sound like it would be a game console slogan
"Jump In" is just lame to me. Attempting to be too hip.
"Play Beyond" sounds cool.
"Wii Would Like to Play" is very creative.

Beat me to it.
They really should have kept it, I liked that slogan."Play Beyond"
Awesome Buzzword.
Sony does have an exellent marketing team - those PS3 ads were very cool.

As for the Creepy baby. Ok that was a pretty weird decision. Guess it kind of tied in with Halloween.

Heck even when PS3 titles are combined with the white Room - the ads look awesome.
The Rubix cube one in particular got my attention. Heck all those 'white room' ones - the very concept of it is exellent.

Marketing - and ad design - plays a huge role in determining the sucess of a game - let alone system. See Gears of War and Halo 3 - especially.
Gaming eh? Well the white room ads, when used to advertise games like MotorStorm were quite awesome. Heck even the Lair ones, made the game seem great. Its good advertising.
Heck on Marketing and Brand Name alone, is why so many PS3s have been sold.
And I dont know if beaing the first person to say this is either a good thing or bad. :P
With the rubix cube ads, Sony were simply trying to pitch their system. With such a weak lineup, and hefty price they had to get the impression across that the hardware is worth the cash in terms of power - and the genral public istn exactly hardware savvy.

Price - justiufication of it, lack of titles (currently) to relate to popular PS2 franchises - is pretty much why the system is flunking.
Not even Sony marketing can win over the common sense of the consumer. The loyalist will always follow though.
Still it doesent stop the ad campiagn from being a good one. Like I said, its riding on that alone - and loyalisits - that the PS3 has sold so much already.
When the PS2 franchises start rolling out, is when the console sales will skyrocket. That and the need for gradual price drops.
"Jump in" is just stupid. What are they doing, trying to warn customers what they are getting into? "Jump in... to the RED RING OF DEATH!!!"... sorry, sorry just bitter my console has been away a month and is not even being repaired yet... stupid MS...
"Wii would like to play" is just corny, and so is every Wii commercial that has been on tv... just such an easy name to make fun of, cheesier than that Cheezies cheetah.
So I guess "Play B3yond" wins by default, even though it sucks too. Play beyond what, video games? Because I have no good games to play I need to play "beyond" them using Blu-ray movies?
