[QUOTE="KingsofQueens"][QUOTE="starwarsgeek112"][QUOTE="Ninten007"] [QUOTE="starwarsgeek112"][QUOTE="Ninten007"]The point of this thread was to show the hypocritism of Nintendo, not to own anyone. They claimed for months that a revolution will happen in the way we control games and yet so far there is nothing on it that cant be done without a traditional controller. starwarsgeek112
Wii Sports wouldn't be as fun without the Wiimote, and you just need to give Nintendo and other devs time to make some truly unique games.A tennis game where you cant control your own movements is not fun. Image how difficult it will be to play a real tennis sim on the Wii. First you have to hold the nunchuck and move the analog stick and swing the remote which can be disorentinig for players. Thats why they made the characters move on their own. I had more fun with Mario Power Tennis because I could move my player and still be capable of hitting the ball.
Nintendo and devs had more than enough time. Remember when the GC hit stores, there was already a masterpiece in Star Wars Rouge Squadron 2 and Factor 5 didnt need that extra time, so no excuse there.
Maybe not to you, but it is to me, and a lot of my friends. They made it move for you so that it would stay simple. If moving with the analog stick and flicking your wrist is disorienting then you are horribly uncordinated. Plus it'd only be hard for you sine you've never done it before.
The thing is though devs still aren't used to making games for the Wii-mote. They are so used to developing for a normal controller that when they are given something new they have a hard time figuring out a control scheme that works. Just give it time..Give it time? That's exactly what I said after reading EGM's December 2001 issue, Xbox vs GC. They said Perfect Dark 0 was slated for the GC, as an exlcusive title. I waited and waited, then MS bought Rare.
I wanted more GC games that are at least in league with MP2, SW Rogue Sqadron 2 & 3, and RE4....they NEVER came
Except the Wii has only been out for 4 months...it's not my fault your impatient. Anyways Super Paper Mario comes out next week, which will probably be one of the best Wii games out. Also RE:UC and Nights are somewhat in the right direction. As well as RE4:Wiimote but that's a port. The Wii needs more quality complex games for the Core Gamers.Â
