Portal 2 has been crowned the ultimate game of the year at the Golden Joystick video game awards. i dont quite understand... is this basically just the Awards for best game of the year? Why is it in october? or is it only including maybe oct 1 , 2010 - oct 1 - 2011? yee i dunno... I Cant comment much unless i know the time frame.

I think maybe thats why gt5 is a 'shock' to winning best racer (even though i think it IS the best racer :P ) Cant really argue much with the list though..
IM pretty sure the Voting closed for the Golden Joystick awards before Forza 4 was released and seeing as you can't vote for an unreleased game I think that is why GT5 won.

Portal 2 is great and all, but I feel it's far worse than the original. Part of the charm of the first game was that it was simple and brief, never overstaying its welcome. Portal 2 attempts to move the game into a full-fledged blockbuster campaign, which takes away much of the personality and ingenuity of the original. People overhyped it and still overrate it today. It's great and all, but it's not worth GOTY.

Really? How is GT5 for casuals? Forza 4 is more arcade, has flashbacks, has more assists, is infinitely easier. GT5 is definitelly for a more hardcore racing crowd than Forza is. It takes more dedication to get 3 golds in the Sebastian Vettel Challenge in GT5 than it takes to get all achievements from Forza 4.

Yea thats why I own only shooters and not a varity of games.....:|. The game isint just funny to me. Same with the first one. I didint even like that final song in the first game.
