Exclusive to Xbox Live Arcade! Extra levels and such

I think Valve just made a BIG mistake. They just spit in the face of every PC gamer who has stuck by Valve since the original Half Life (if it is indeed 100% exclusive to the 360 and you can't get it on the PC).
Nice job screwing over the PC gamers who have been supporting you for well over a decade.
You beat me to it.
That was so awesome when he said, "I have a special guest here." Then GLaDOS comes in and says... stuffz I forgot.
It's not a full blown sequel, though, is it?
Either way, this is good news for 360 fans. If it's really short, then I'll force my friends to let me play their 360 until I beat it. I don't have a 360, unfortunately, but luckily, I know a lot of people that do. Maybe I'll buy one... It all depends on well Sony does tomorrow. 360 or PS3. Tough choice. Portal: Still Alive and Banjo Kazooie 3 is definitely making my decision easier, though.
Jak 4! Please, Naughty Dog!
They most likely mean among consoles...they did the same thing last year with Bioshock and Splinter Cell which were "exclusive" even though they were also on the PC.....
seeing as how Valve has their own platform on the PC, I doubt they would not release it their as well.

yeah, I feel that way also. They sold 2x more orange box on the pc and I don't even count the sale of the people who only bought portal. Sad really.

Yeah, I was wondering, "How could this possibly be exclusive to the 360?"
I'm kind of angry about this. If it went to PC, then yay! I can get it without having to buy a 360 or playing it at someone else's house. It's a real bummer. Portal's system requirements aren't high at all, and my PC can definitely handle it.
Oh well... At least we get another Portal game!
It may not be exclusive. And it doesn't really have that much new content...

"Announced via Microsoft's Gamerscore Video Blog, a new version of the breakthrough puzzle/shooter Portal will be released on Xbox Live Arcade. It is unknown if this version of Portal will be released for any other platform.
To be released in 2008, Portal: Still Alive will contain the original Single Player experience as well as an all new Challenge Mode of gameplay. Pricing and release date as well as other details have yet to be announced. It's unknown if anything else will be announced about this Portal edition, but stay tuned for more details."
Oh my... a new Challenge Mode.
And it will probably be on other platforms.

I don't know but about 10 minutes ago MS said it was exclusive
At which point was still alive confirmed as exclusive? I must have missed that part because at no point did I hear it was exclusive to 360?
Don't forget about the first Banjo game being on Xbox Live Arcade :DYou beat me to it.

Well the guy said it was coming exclusively to 360, so I would assume that is when it was confirmed. But I would also expect a PC version on steam for sure. So not really 360 exclusvie, but still a great addition. At which point was still alive confirmed as exclusive? I must have missed that part because at no point did I hear it was exclusive to 360?

They didnt say it was exclusive, they cleverly mixed it with real exclusives announcements though. It will be on steam.
It was like:
Now for exclusive for XBLA, GW2!
Also, heading to XBLA, Portal:SA!
And exlcusive for XBLA, South Park whatever!
Fanboys: Omg they said Portal exclusive for 360!
i wonder how much micro$oft paid valve for this BS.
but is there even any truth to this, can anyone provide a link,
and if anything, it will be a timed exclusive and 360 players will also have to pay when pc will get it for free

This is dissapointing. Portal was one of my most favourite games I played this generation.
I will buy Gears of War 2 for my 360. But Portal... its a game intended for the PC platform.
Whats next? Half-Life 3 exclusively on 360? :|

This is very true, watch the conference again, at no point is it said Portal SA is still exclusive!

Generalising are we? I have every system. And there are some genres I prefer on my console, and other genres wich are more intended for PC.
Strategy, WRPG's, MMO's and Shooters on PC. Sports, JRPG's, Race, Fighters and Platformers on Consoles.
And besides, I think every consumer should have platform of choice. It doesn't make you a fanboy just because you have preferences. You obviously do not udnerstand the definition of a fanboy.

It is being sold as an xbox live arcade exclusive. This means either valve didn't make the levels, and another party came in and developed this addon, or it will eventually come to PC since .. you know, 360 and windows are the same platform basics.... give it time.
