Since Crysis has been posted probably a couple billion times I'll post something different.

For me Paradise in Oblivion was beautiful, Mania part of Shivering Isles was also beautiful.

Snowpeak from Twilight Princess was also a breath taking landscape as well.

Ah, I had a hunch but I wasn't sure.

Great screens, the game still looks good.

Just Cause 2 on PC @ 1920x1080 with all settings maxed out and CUDA enabled for improved water.

Called it, craps all over Skyrim, a shame Ashenvale is lit up now , I liked that forest the most.

Too much Skyrim Pics.
Needs more Crysis
I don't think Nintendo games are any better than ICO and SOTC.

Final Fantasy 13 had some good views of the City and such

I will only comment on the pc version...SKYRIM looks good up close. BUT the things in the background not so much. Trees look like they are from PS1...BUT up close things look great.

The main game isn't that great but I thought Arcania had some really pretty visuals.

Can you really not tell he's bashing the game, not the pc?

I know right...I have the game for pc..just got done playing a little today..will play more. Its just really obvious that they took time to make everything close look nice and detailed and very little time on the background. Up close though is really nice..

OK...well..to make you happy...I HAVE NOT seen the console version of what im talking about. Havent played it. Never will since the PS3 version is screwed up. THATS why I got it for PC..so, where are we with this now?

Meh. I'm just gonna say the ones I remember WOWed me.

When you get outside for the first time in Farcry.

When you get outside for the first time in Oblivion.

When you jump out of the plane in Crysis(I missed the infamous gray rocks :P) and when I got into the first dense area.

Morrowind, Skyrim, STALKER, Crysis, etc. I'm sure each one of these is represented in the thread already.Guppy507

You can increase the level of detail draw distance of the trees by changing some values in the skyrim configuration file. That means you can go above the ultra graphics settings.

You can also change how many grids the game loads at once, thus you won't see as much stuff popping in. But you need a good processor for that.

Click Clock Wood from Banjo-Kazooie. Going back to it each season was awesome everytime. "Wowed" me each and every playthrough.

ini files are plain text files that games use to configure themselves. In Bethesda games most of the settings (controls, graphics, AI) can be tailored by changing what's written in them. It is highly suggested you make a copy of them *before* you start modifying them, especially if you're opening them for the first time. You shouldn't have a problem in tampering with them as long as you read off the internet what you're doing.

Just remember that "find" or "search for" doesn't mean scroll down the text but use CTRL+F :)

Speaking of Far Cry.......

These are the nature/background scenes that WOWed me when they came out. These games were TOP NOTCH in graphics when they came out. Not joking. When these game out, gaming as a whole went up a level.

Also you might want to check out Vurts Flora Overhaul before you start editing your config file. It comes with better looking distant trees as well as better looking close trees and grass + shrubs.
