@nyadc: I hate you.
Even before I clicked on this thread I knew it would be filled with nyadc's man-child cave and doll collection.
I wasn't disappointed. At this point it's just getting embarrassing.
It´s pretty cool room no matter how you look at it.
I wish I could have spare room to make me a place like that, I got as much stuff as he does but most of it is stored ( like my collection of Gears Of War and Halo figures, Amiibos, Infinity n´such ) and other stuff is exhibited in my son´s room. Can´t put everything all together like he does, I´m not jealous, only wishful.
Haha, this actually made me laugh out loud. The half empty soda bottle on the floor puts it over the top!
Two questions:
1. What do you do for living? I.e., how can you afford all of that?
2. Where did you get all those accessories? Those game-boxes-on-wall things?

I'll have to stop being lazy and post my collection of these days. Give you some actual competition ;P Nice setup as always.

You should make "one of these days"; today haha, and thank you :D
Dell Ultra Wide IPS
What is the response time with that, also why a 60hz monitor?
Not sure about him but believe it or not I know a Gamestop employee that has a larger room filled with more stuff than that. He has advantages to working there and stays on top of collectable limited edition stuff. He also keeps what GS throws away or what the manager will let him buy. He has the entire DC and N64 US release 100% and every prop, game shelf, box you name it that the store ever got rid of but now he has an arch nemesis, some older guy that's just like him started working there a few months back and they have to compete to get some of the used games..etc that they want for themselves. His wife works too but considering his job, he has an amazing gaming museum going on.
You can collect quite a lot of gaming stuff over the years.
Emulation wasn't quite what I meant
It's probably for the better. Pre-AGA Amigas used interlaced displays. You'd have a splitting headache within an hour. Otherwise, you'd be straining your eyes if you used the lower resolutions because of the thick scan lines.

Your talking to someone that grew up playing games on TRS-80's and C64's. I'm aware of Amiga's but I'm more of the collector type. I didn't want one just to play games on specifically, rather if I had the room I'd have it as part of a collection. I also enjoy collecting those large game boxes, I have a few for DOS but no sense in buying Amiga's without the system.

Yeah, I can imagine there are certain perks when you work in a gaming store. Nevertheless, it's really cool when people have a passion for that kind of stuff.
That's pretty damn admirable.
This belongs in /r/cringe. LOL
Why exactly? It's not up to your trailer park standard?
Apparently its bad to enjoy a hobby. Your arrangement is similar to mine in that we both have a dedicated room. The rest of my house there's not 1 clue I'm into Video games, superheros and Star Wars, till you get to my man cave. So I'm not sure what the big deal is,

That's pretty much the same thing here, I mean there's a 360 in my bedroom and an Xbox One in the living room, but those are more for the "if I want to play a game here" type of situations, or if there's people over you know.

It would be interesting to see these peoples living arrangements that are knocking your setup/arrangement. I also have a 360 in my other living room and use it as a media server and the occasional game.

@Wasdie: That's a pretty nice mic you got there. I'm assuming it's for endless backlog?
Actually it's because I wanted a quality desktop mic that wouldn't break and had fantastic audio that should last me for 10 years. Then we made Endless Backlog.
Since I use it probably 3-5 times a week, I figured I should get something high quality.
My gaming setup, the pc is getting a bit old but still gets the job done. I7 2600K@4.2GHZ, 8GB DDR3, GTX970, 120 GB SSD, 1000GB HD.
My living room. Still haven't bought a next-gen console. Will probably pick up a ps4 once more interesting exclusives are out.
And a low powered pc build behind the couch used as a htpc.
You're a 40-year old man-child living in a room filled with toys and dolls.
If anyone disagrees with you, they're poor and they must live in a trailer park.
Did I get that right?

You're off by 10 years, I don't live in this room, and yes.
Thanks for clearing that up ... a 50-year old man-child? Wow.
@Dire_Weasel: Why is your twat in a twist? He has a cool room, you're jealous, shut up.
Posting on a gaming forum while calling others a man-child. Brilliant.

51 here. You wanna see my Gears of War figure collection ? one pic : ( got almost complete the entire collection )
COOL XD
How many figurines in total you got in your collection? :)
@indzman: 40, if I´m not wrong I´m missing like 10 to complete the entire collection of the regular size figures, I only have 3 of the small size ones.
Awesome, best of luck scoring Half a Century as you will want to put Gears 4 figurines in your collection also :)
