because of some glitch or something that small that might be missing in environment, but no one ever talks about how rich the ps3 colors look and how much depth that adds to the image. put any multiplat side by side and if u look away from nitpicking you actually notice how bland games look on the 360. at least one reviewer did this justice finally when he deducted points for the 360 version of dragon age origins for this exact reason, but i think every game should be rated like that from now on, because this issue has been overlooked for a while now.

i know for a FACT wwe smack down vs raw 2009 looks beter on 360 than ps3, period.

ps3 version was locked at 720 p while 360 was 1080p. a side by side compraison also shows this.

usually, multiplats 360 do indeed look better than ps3 . users w/ both versions agree on this.

multiplats are better on the xbox 360. It is a proven fact. Why are you making 10,000 anti 360 threads a minute. Did a 360 hurt your family? I understand if you don't like it. But why show so much hate for something if you don't care about it? I always thought if you disliked something you'd avoid it and not go out of the way to mention it. I just don't understand.

The 360 usually has more anti-aliasing on the multiplats than PS3, thats mostly why I prefer to get them on 360. Less jaggies\ as good as it being higher resolution= better :D

Unless of course you prefer jaggies to a clearer image...

The reason this happens with some game is the 360 version is ported to the PS3. The 360 has like 2 cores or something while PS3 has 1 core but a port does not take advantage of the PS3s SPEs hence making a port inferior on the PS3. IF devs where to port games from PS3 to 360 games would look much better. Bayonetta for example is inferior on the PS3 purely because devs did not want to spend the time or money to make a quality port or better yet make it on the PS3.

That's the ONLY comparison screenshot I've seen where there is a glaring difference between the two consoles. Every other comparison with multiplat shows such a miniscule difference that it doesn't matter. A few more trees in the background doesn't qualify as something that dominates in looks. These are consoles people, PC will kick the crap out of both no matter what. It's like people are debating which sucks less compared to PC, 360 or PS3.

multiplats on ps3 are not designed to take full advantage of the hardware.

soooooo, ports will never run as good as the system that the game was build on.

This is constantly brought up here on SW. I truly don't care that much. I'd much rather buy the version that has the best performance overall than the best graphics. For example, I've read that Dragon Age: Origins looks better on the PS3 but I also read that the framerate is better on the 360. Going by that, I'll be picking the 360 version of the game soon.

Yeah, like Ghostbusters...oh wait, that was designed for the PS3 and ported to the 360 and still looked better on the 360.

sorry for a late edit didnt notice my post til now :Si was gonna say im gonna hold you to that LOL.

Multiplats tend to be better on 360 as tbh its easier to code and its got a better GPU without workarounds compared to PS3.

In your little fanboy world that is a fact, but in the real world it isn't. They are very few, but nonetheless, there are some multiplats that are better on PS3.

that's just 1 game dude, remember the ps3 got marked down on 2 games against the 360, fallout 3 and borderlands, and like you said the scores don't lie, and what happened with ghostbusters? the ps3 was the lead platform and it looked like trash compared to the 360 version, multiplats look better on 360, most of gamespots reviews even say that, i really wish you would stop posting BS just to bash the 360 with, it's a commonly accepted fact that most multiplats run better on 360, accept it and move along

And again those games on PS3 suffer from problematic framerate. And they don't look better on PS3 but the same with the 360.Nothing special. Take a look on AC2..... the 360 version just destroy the PS3 version. The 360 is simply the best.

apart from a couple of games, the differences are hardly noticable, and what is it with people going on about the ******* framerate all the time, did you play oblivion when it came out?,it amazes me how people let a couple of framerate drops and some minor screen tearing ruin there own gaming experience, every game has framerate issues, especially 360 exclusives, and my personal GOTY for this year, batman AA,is better on the ps3, i prefer the 360, i admit, but i don't go around spouting baseless opinions just to make it look better than the ps3, the ps3 has awesome exclusives, it's the PC/360 games that tip it for me, a good lemming gives credit where credit is due sunshine

Why do you people care about (usually) a very small different in background graphics, or a drop in frame rate that is barely noticeable? Someone said AC2 is head and shoulders better on 360 then PS3? WTF... They both have small technical issues, granted the PS3 more so than the 360, but come on. The difference is so small, that if you were just focusing on that no way you could be having fun playing the game.

fallout 3 is the only game i admit was messed on the PS3 technically. Thats it. But to even that out, look at oblivion on 360. Other then Fallout 3, every multiplat is superior on the PS3 if you dont nitpick.

Why do you people care about (usually) a very small different in background graphics, or a drop in frame rate that is barely noticeable? Someone said AC2 is head and shoulders better on 360 then PS3? WTF... They both have small technical issues, granted the PS3 more so than the 360, but come on. The difference is so small, that if you were just focusing on that no way you could be having fun playing the game.MethodManFTW
Screen tearing is quite an annoying thing to see while playing a game, it was one of the problems with Uncharted 1. AC2 has been shown to have significantly more screen tearing on the PS3.

if you take away the nitpicking they are the same, the ps3 version is certainly not superior, do you do this just to wind people up? you know that all the evidence points to 360 multiplats being better, even though it is unnoticable and not worth talking about, it doesn't change the fact that most multiplats run slightly better on the 360,and a lot look slightly better ,what happened to the water reflection in RE5 on the ps3, where the overbright/bloom effects in MW2 on the ps3, these things are not really that noticable, but it still gives the 360 version the edge, why can't we just say they are both the same and be done with it.

What about the Orange box? Bayonetta? Ghost Busters? there are quite a few bad ports out there.

I've been playing video games since atleast 97' and I don't even know what a screen tear/jaggy is. I think you all are just looking way to much into this.. I owned both consoles up until a few months ago and never noticed any differences that mattered.

what about oblivion, dragon age, ninja gaiden, and more, all recieved higher scores on PS3. Maybe we should make a list and put it with the spreadsheet.

multiplats on ps3 are not designed to take full advantage of the hardware.

soooooo, ports will never run as good as the system that the game was build on.

Pretty much this. If 90% of games are developed on the 360 and ported to the PS3, chances are they will be better on the 360. With the exception of the just released Dragon Age: Origins, I do not think there are many multiplats that are superior on the PS3. Doesn't really matter however as PS3 is rolling in quality exclusives right now, but fanboys will complain nonetheless

yeah, but ghostbusters wasn't a port, the ps3 was the lead platform and that's one multiplat that looked better on the 360 in a noticable way, and you beat me to it, i was just waiting to pounce on him with the Orange Box,lol

Please take oblivion out of that list:

GameSpot 9.3/10 (PC), 9.6/10 (Xbox 360), 9.5/10 (PS3)

And calling The Orange Box a "poor valve attempt" pretty much just made anything you ever say again invalid
