Predict GOTY 2012

Which game will receive the most goty awards this year?

I think it's AC III.

It'll probably be Assassin's Creed 3.

i honestly think GW2, at the very least, will get a crapload of nominations. will it win? don't know, but it's my most anticipated game this year.BrunoBRS

I have checked out this game since I loved WoW. I'm not sure about the combat system, it seems a little bit too complicated. Plus none of the classes sound appealing to me. It's great that you don't have to pay a monthly fee though, I will try the demo at least.

AC 3 looks like the clear front runner. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Halo 4.

It does. It's a high quality platforming game.

Well, I don't know if it'll win but my vote is for Mass Effect 3, now that Bioware has (mostly) fixed the ending.

Eh I don't know why you have DIII on there, I love it and think it's great. But I really doubt it'll get a GOTY award on GS. If you're talking anywhere it'll recieve a few I'm sure.

I'm gonna guess ACIII, maybe Dishonored if it really turns out amazing, and it looks awesome to me! But my guess for GS's GOTY is it will be ACIII.

Probably the case this year, but this is not a general rule.

In 2010, going through the GOTY wiki list, ME2, RDR, SMG2 received goty awards and none of those release in Q4. I think the winner was ME2, which released in January.

I have D3 on there because my real life friend was 100% sure D3 would grab the most goty awards, I told him ACIII is the sure winner. I made a thread to see what GS thinks

So far for me it would be Journey but obviously Gamespot doesn't nominate low budget games for goty.

Dishonored looks to have GOTY potential IMO.
