October is upon us, and October may not be the best game month of the year, but here's a few probable good ones for you.

What do you think they will score? Any AAA's?

Guitar Hero 3 = 8.5

HL2: Ep 2 = 8.5

Hellgate: London = 8.5

Ratchet and Clank = 9.0

The Witcher = 9.0

I'm gonna go ahead and predict The witcher to be another pleasant surprise hit ala World in Conflict.

simpsons game>8.0

HL2 ep 2 is the only one I can see getting higher then 9.0, but I somewhat doubt it will also.

Guitar Hero 3 could get a 9, the previous ones rated fairly well.

Hellgate I'm not really sure on, I can see it doing 8.0 - 9.0, sorta.

Jericho I don't know much about.

Simpsons game I think will get 7.5

The Orange Box should get at least a 9.0...although I think that it could get a 10, really.

Other than that...Zelda, maybe?

Zelda i belive is gonna be the highest rated game this month.

I do belive though some other games will score 9.0's but overall i think Zelda will score the highest average. Its already doing well.

Simpsons game will be AAA if it plays exactly like Halo 3Slurms_M

I don't see half-life 2 episode 2 getting a AAA. I love the game but an expension has a tough time doing that. The orange box though if they decide to include all the contant at once into the score than obviously the orange box will AAA...you just get way to big of a bang for the buck in that package. The balck box HL2:EP2 itself is more likely closer to the score of EP1 which was around the high 8's. I think Guitar Heros 3 will...that game is loved by Gamespot.

So my logical vote goes to Guitar Hero as the next AAA....or the orange box...but not EP2 alone.

Why is the simpsons game even up there???

Episode 1, by itself, scored 8.7 here at GS.

The Orange Box, containing Episode 2 (which will presumably score 8.5-9.0) plus the innovative Portal game (which makes up for the short playtime of the episodes) and the addictive TF2 (which makes up for the lack of multiplayer in the episodes) - all tied in with spectacular graphics...it won't score less than 9.0, but it could easily score much higher than that.

PH, PGR4, HL2: Ep 2, GH3, R&C... and you say this isn't the best month for games. Pah!

Anyway, I think Half Life has the best chance of getting AAA+, but PH is already AAA (and it came out today, which is October) so it's got a good chance of either tieing the best game or being it.

HL2 has already been released and so has Episode 1, so why put the Orange Box up there, giving it an unfair advantage.

Sure, Portal and Episode 2 haven't been released, but you will notice Episode 2 is in the Poll, see it?

Too close to getting a score here, heck maybe even tommorow, I wanted to avoid games that would get a score within a day or 2.

I don't think they rated HL2: GotY Edition which included Episode 1 and Source games.

If I brought Orange Box into the fray, I would probably need to bring Oblivion GotY Edition in as well, and I didn't want to do that.

Yeah, they are going to rate the Orange Box as a whole, how could they not? Even if it comes down to the fact that HL and HL:Ep1 were already released, it's still 3 completely new compenents (Portals, HL:Ep2, and TF2). Heck, consider it that HL:Ep2 is the story, TF2 is the multiplayer, and Portals is the add-in time-waster game. Just beacuse they exist as 3 seperate games dosen't mean that you arn't getting them all in one box (at the price of a regular game at that).

actually I was wrong about the HL2 GotY Edition as well, it doesn't contain Episode 1.

Fair enough they'll probably review Orange Box as a whole, but I still feel it would give Orange Box an unfair advantage in this Poll (since HL2 and Episode 1 are previously released, and provide much of the meat of this release).

I really want to say Hellgate: London, but after playing the beta....it's got a long way to go. So I'll go with a sure thing, and say the Orange Box.NerdMan

I'm sad to hear that, that was one of the next games on my list.
