Predicting your platform of choice for Gen 9.

I don't think there will be both a PS5 and an Xbox Two. Either way they seem to have given up on exclusives, and are now obsolete to me. On a PC I can get all their games with better controls, better pricepoint, running better. Nintendo will be good as always I guess. They're the only ones who seem to give a damn about gaming. As it looks right now the choice has never been more clear to me. I always tended to go for PC + Nintendo and that will be my setup for the next generation. Normally I had friends to play the other systems at, and I have bought a Playstation every now and then (and I have a Vita) but the MS systems SUCK hardware wise and have nothing interesting but ads and restrictions. I never really got my money's worth out of a Sony platform.

So yeah PC+Nintendo especially if I can get a job soon, that would mean I can build a crazy cool PC when next gen hits I am already looking forward to that (even more than looking forward to being financially independent lol).

And yeah the signs seem to point to a lot of nickle and diming with online services/restrictions and streaming. But since I have FINALLY completely let go of MS and Sony as viable gaming platforms I feel free from their tyranny and laugh wholeheartedly at them screwing people over. Especially funny are the reviewers who just had to play a console version of a game instead of the superior PC version and then run into trouble. A dark part in me wants that to escalate next gen because maybe people would finally learn? But I rather be good and see all the platforms turn out well.

I'm not willing to commit to a brand before I see what they offer. I will always have a PC for gaming, so I should probably go ahead and tick the box for that.

As for Gen9 consoles? Who knows, maybe I'll go Lem? MS, if they stay in consoles that is, will probably make the next XBox a real whopper to undo the brand damage they have with the Bone. Then again, maybe they will stay out of touch? As for Sony, shit, there's nothing saying they can't pull a Bone next gen as well. Nintendo may also decide that they no longer want to chase core gamers and make some Wii like bullshit system again.

In short, unless you just really like a brand name on a plastic box, it is way too early to talk about committing to a system.

PC, always PC.

No way to tell until stuff is announced. Only fanboys can really throw out their allegiance at this point. For me it will be my PC, and whichever consoles over me value.

Nintendo no doubt, with a Steam Machine on close second.

I know whatever Nintendo makes will be in my house, as I have owned all of their consoles. Outside of that, if I had to guess, probably whatever Microsoft makes; I think their next "console"(HoloLens, yes please) will do more just like the Xbox One does more than the PS4, and that is the major factor when I buy one over the other (bought a PS3 over the Xbox 360).

If I tell you I have a PC... I only say "PC or Gaming rig".. If you say ANYTHING other than Windows for the OS you lying. If those girls in you sig that only use "PC" as a description to claim they are building anything other that a gaming rig with Windows on it... You're lying.

In terminology of describing any Personal Computer in the real world.. There are specific terminologies you use to describe what OS you are using when you tell people what OS you are using. There is no cloudiness to even claim.

If you say a description of the Personal Computer you are using to game on. There is universal terminology we all use to describe that device. I am referring to the name everyone has choose in the world to identify these products.

PC or Gaming Rig= Windows PC

Mac= Mac PC

Linux= Linux PC

PS4= PS4 consople

Xbox = Xbox console

Steam Box= Steam box

Android= Jellybean or Android

Now if I give a multiple choice questioner ... And I ask you specifically what you would you pick form the Multiple Choice questioner when I say If "I'm building a Gaming Rig". If you pick anything other than a Windows PC you're lying.. If you sidestep the question you're a lying idiot.

Everybody in the world knows when you say I'm building a Gaming Rig... Knows I'm building a Windows PC. I don't have to explain that to them. It is the accepted terminology used in the description. If I walk up and ask anyone and ask them what they have in their "PC", they know I mean windows. If I just say PC to refer to the device in question. There is no other answer there to give. You know why this is. No one refers to their Windows PC as anything other than just "PC". They don't say my Windows Rig... They don't say my Bill Gates Machine.... They say my Gaming Rig or PC. When they do, I know they 100% mean a Windows PC when they use those terminologies. It is the standard everyone uses. If you say different you're lying.

I know 100% those girls in your sig mean a "Windows OS PC" in their build. When they just say PC. It is the standard on which we use when we use the terminology to describe that moniker or product.

To say otherwise your lying. I never said PC gaming didn't mean playing games on multiple systems. I asked a specific question. A terminology every one uses to describe a Windows OS PC.

If that doesn't help to understand what I initially meant, through Holding your hand through an explanation. I don't know what will. Apparently my vagueness was to hard to comprehend.
