no. He lives on a farm and shovels cow maneur to pass his time as opposed to playing video games.

Good things come in white... which is why we should've voted for McCain. Just kidding. I'm not being racist. It was just a joke.

according to the brilliant logic of system wars, only people who can't afford a ps3/360 buy the wii

well apparently president obama fits into that category

Despite what the doom and gloom sayers tell you the Economy won't get much worse and it is going to most likely rebound in the middle of 09, then every idiot in this country is going to say" OMG OBAMA FIXED THE ECONOMY IN LESS THEN A YEAR", and everyone will put him on a pedestal for something he didn't even do. Meanwhile I'll be facepalming and wishing natural selection would return so all these idiots die.MasterC5
It's already apparent that if he doesn't fix the economy that Bush will be blamed. Obama could do nothing for 4 years and still get re-elected. Bush was a terrible president, but it seems that people are giving way to much credit for someone who hasn't done anything yet.

Yeah but at least McCain has experience...Obama has been hanging out with politicians and racists in the most CORRUPT State in the US. He didn't even finish his tenure as a Senator before he started running for Prez. Change! Hope!

It's kind of sad that I've seen more pictures and footage of my future president playing games then working on some kind of plan to keep our country in a somewhat financially stable state in the next few years during our new "dark ages".wagexslave

Honestly, I just dont get what all of you Obama kids see in him. The fact that Obama even thinks he has time to sit and play games is pretty pathetic considering the fact that he's taking over the hardest, most stressful, highest pressure, and most important\dependant job there is in most likely the world.

Did he not see what happened to Bush? If he messes up, or even doesn't show any sign of progression and just goofs off the whole time... he will be the laughing stock of the whole world, and hated by more Americans than he could truely comprehend.

Jack_Bauer07

I completely agree but with all of the "change" and "hope" hype he has behind him, his supportesr will begin blaming others, possibly even Bush himself for whatever screwups Obama may make. It'll take a while for people to wake up.

You mean like how GWB's supporters blamed Clinton for everything that went wrong the last 8yrs?

Yeah, cause short-term stimulus packages are really the right way to heal this economy. It sounds like another George Bush "solution" that has failed to work. When the FED is able to keep printing money out of thin air, and with no oversight, then it becomes worthless. There are much deeper problems that need to be addressed if we want to fix this economic crisis, but then again, it seems like they're not interested in solving it, but just prolonging it until the dollar hits rock bottom. Say hello to the Amero.

 Ah yes, the "Amero" argument. If you're going to stoop that low, then it's not even worth debating anything with you. Seems like Limbaugh has your ear already.

And I didn't hear any neo-cons complaining about the FED printing money with no oversight to fund the Iraq War when GWB was in office .

But hey, I agree to a point with you. If this stimulus package is all that Obama has planned, then yeah, it won't do anything. Somehow I think Obama has more planned.

You gotta look at it from the conservative POV. They have had nothing but failure ridden policies for the past 8 years so all they can see in this administration is doom and gloom.

Typical lib using NEO to describe a con. Stop Tivo'ing the Daily Show for news...or listening to NPR in your car. If you cannot see how SILLY his campaign championing the message of Change is now after he selected his cabinet then you are blind. Viva la Government controlled Healthcare as crappy as Canada. Viva la Taxes for everyone but the poor/and low mid **** More Social Programs. More for those that don't work! YAY!!! *vomits*. Removal of my right to bear arms! Destroy the ammendments! Bigger fatter richer spoiled government officials! PLEASE PLEASE!!!! :) /rant.

After that vapid, vacuous emptying of every talking point Limbaugh has taught you, I hope you feel better.

It must still hurt how soundly conservative ideology was rejected on Nov 4th. :)

Seriously you don't have anything but Limbaugh to use do you? I haven't listened to him since he was on TV (yep I'm older). And yes indeed the c on's were soundly defeated by the mass outing of the typical non voters coming out party...the showing of the uneducated downtrodden welfare addicts were out in DROVES! Believe me...I stood in line and still feel dirty. I loved listening to "It's about time a brother is in the White House" "I'm voting for Obama cause I hate Bush" as examples. Not once did I hear anyone even talk about his political stance or experience. I have voted across the board in my years and have never slanted myself to a party...I vote for whom I feel can support my priorities...it just so happens welfare reform, smaller weaker military, government controlled healthcare, and reduction of my civil liberties isn't high on the list. But keep on with the HOPE and CHANGE....

I wasn't a Bush cheerleader. So generalize all you want but my points are true. Obama wants all those things I mentioned. Don't deny it. Also, don't deny the turnout of people that didn't have a clue what they were voting for...except that it wasn't Bush (whom I guess they thought had the magic ability to go a third term). You can put me in a category all you want...but it doesn't change the fact that this country was not built on the principles of big government and limited civil liberties. It was not built to be the Welfare line for the World's hungry. Take the political parties out of it....that's our biggest problem. Vote on the issues.

Not that I agree with him in any way. But you seriously need to form a decent argument. Your getting on to him for having a different view and your letting your discontent for other views get in the way of a decent argument. I see it all the time in people whom get to involved in politics, people will not open themselves up to any other way of view. You have done nothing but laugh and accuse which a lot of extreme liberals are doing right now. (It goes both ways) I think obama will be a good president (much much better than bush) but he has a LOT of iffy ideas about our "rights." It also doesn't help that chicago is very corrupt, has a high crime rate with strict gun laws, has high taxes, and is in a lot of debt. I will however support him and pray for him.

And you keep on regurgitating the RNC's talking points and you'll never understand why you lost so badly on Nov 4th. :) Now you guys know how we felt the last 8yrs when you guys were GWB cheerleaders.

And yup, I'm older too. That's why your pre-approved talking points don't work on me. :D

 Oh please, you have been doing nothing but generalizing the supposed typical Obama voter, and yet you tell me not to generalize? Take a look in the mirror.

You're just bitter that GWB will go down as the worst US Prez in history. Fortunately, patriotic Americans realized this and soundly rejected you Republicans on Nov 4th. Welcome to our reality of the last 8yrs. :)

Again the GWB reference which explains how/why you voted...not who you voted for.

And yet all he has done is call Obama voters stupid, uninformed welfare recipients. Is that a "decent argument" in your eyes? Why not get on him for the generalizations?

Again with the assumptions. You do know what they say about assuming things right?

And don't kid yourself, I definitely for Obama and the direction he wants to take America in. :)

But I have clearly pointed out that I voted on issues and not on a hatred for a 8 yr president with no way of being reelected. For the record I am in Chicagoland resident. I have my reasons for not trusting this guy but more importantly listening to every single issue and his polar opposite positioning to mine. Except his feelings about Afghanastan - which I tend to agree on. LosDaddie - we have officially hijacked the thread (sorry Dreams but you KNEW darn well this would happen! ;) ), and we are blessed that we CAN vote. I stand with Origin in saying I hope and pray he is a good president and does not follow through with most of his agenda and plans.

So you want a massive increase in government controlled social programs right? It's fine if you say yes but that is the primary agenda.

And yet you were trying to deride me for supposedly voting against McCain/GWB and not actually for Obama. Way to contradict yourself, bud.

Want to know something crazy? I too voted on issues and I found myself agreeing with Obama on far more issues than I did with McCain.

So you wanted another 8yrs of the (95%) same policies of the failed GWB administration, right? It's fine if you say yes, but that was McCain's primary agenda.

See how easy that was? Like I said, I'm older too and thus, the pre-approved talking points won't work on me. ;)

Anyway, it's time to close the office for the weekend. So I'm outta here and won't be posting 'til Monday as I'll be busy with family and work around the home I own. It's been fun. If you want to continue this debate, send me a PM or bump this thread on Monday. :)

One last post since 3 reason are really easy to list:

  • Obama believe in Liberty
  • Obama believes in Individual Responsibility
  • Obama believes in the American Entrepreneurial Spirit

Send me a PM or bump this thread on Monday. Have a good weekend :)

Heh. Makes sense. He'd fit in quite well with the other 360 online crowd.

It's kind of sad that I've seen more pictures and footage of my future president playing games then working on some kind of plan to keep our country in a somewhat financially stable state in the next few years during our new "dark ages".

Yes, you're first paragraph is EXTREMELY sad. Please, inform yourself, it's not hard.

Gh0st_Of_0nyx

You gotta look at it from the conservative POV. They have had nothing but failure ridden policies for the past 8 years so all they can see in this administration is doom and gloom.

That argument would hold some water if I was a neo-con or typical conservative, but I'm not, so both of you are incorrect with that assumption. I'm an independent, but usually side with the libertarian point of view. It's sad that you guys are caught up in the 2 party dictatorship, so therefore they can scam you all into thinking you're getting change, but in the end, it's just more of the same. Republicans/Democrats have been getting hoodwinked forever.

His daughters own it. Not him. What, are we to believe he uses things without permission of the owning force? Now in less than a month whats from stopping him to take Great Britains nukes and use them against South Korea?
