Prey 2 cancelled?

I was really hyped, a small part of me hopes this is not true, but I can only believe it's cancelled right now.

This better not be true. Its one of the few games I was actually looking forward to.

They should officially announce its cancellation on April 1st and then everyone can be happy knowing that this awesome game wasn't cancelled.

Such an interesting concept and it looked awesome, with all that neon urban look. And that badass shotgun type weapon that really blew guys away. I was really looking forward to this game

I can't see them just throwing the project away when so much of it was done and ready to release mid to late 2012. I think maybe Bethesda had a problem with it or something went down and they need a new publisher for it now.

I don't think it was cancelled for no reason at all, and if it was we wouldn't be getting an official statement like this next week.

Stuff the fans honestly. The new game has much more interesting gameplay than the first. It looked bloody awesome, why can't we have some progress around here? Prey while it had some cool concepts felt dated even when it came out. This looked bloody amazing.

Perhaps Bethesda thought that it would be a loser.

I actually had some interest in the title... oh well, no playing it now. But, at least some cash was saved!

Isn't it a shame that the games that try different things away from what they did before trying to evolve and grow are the ones that get tanked while COD games are the exact same every iteration and break records. Such a sad state of affairs.

The original Prey in terms of gameplay was very bland. It felt really dated when i played it. The new one looks cool though
