PC games are a lot cheaper, but they're also a gamble, because I can't sell them if I don't like them.
That is true but I'm really not gonna be miffed too much about finding out I don't like a game when I paid $7.50 for it.

I don't doubt PC is cheaper in long run, they've a stronger digital marketplace with more competitive pricing and consumer friendly rights retention. Though, consoles can have an attractive initial price, and ease of use compared to PC. Consoles are especially bad too when it comes to managing game prices to be competitive in long run, games seemingly going for their initial asking price a lot longer on console digital store with less opportunistic sales compared to physical media retailers who often sell things cheaper to both compete between retailers and to sell of inventory before sales go stagnant.
It is really difficult downloading a game and then playing it.
It is really difficult sharing, trading or selling those digital games.
I don't really feel the need to do any of those things. Most of the games I pay full price for, such as Witcher 3 or GTA V, I want to keep in my digital library to play again.
That's the beauty of physical copies, I can keep them forever and re-play them too. :P
In my case, I have family and friends who have the same systems I do, so it's important to me to be able to lend them my games and let them enjoy them without having to buy additional versions of the same game.
I doubt that. There is such thing as physical wear after all..

True but you maintain your goods and what is the time frame? I have 20 year old CDs in perfect condition. I have relatives with CDs older than that, who also have vinyl even older than that which still exceed CD audio quality by far. People still buy working atari, nes, and cart games in general.
@raugutcon: how do you get bored of a game with a mod community. Also since i can afford a top tier pc i can also afford more games cause the money isnt a problem for me
It sucks you live in country when such big game doesn't get retail PC version. Here in Poland I can buy PC version for about 29 pounds, while PS4 one costs abour 40 pounds
The digtal PC market has stopped licking the butthole of the retail market a loong~ time ago. there is no need for the games to be held by the standards of the retail market. And I really wish the big publishers would quit being a slave to the likes of Gamestop and Walmart. In time... when digital is significatly more mainstreamed, compared to PC, then it will happen. But not now. Right now, PC wins this argument, but let's hope these publishers can start setting their own prices for console games as well. We all win that way.
Topic really isnt Console games prices vs PC games prices... more like console publishers vs retail outlets.
