The 3DS seems like it's going to be an incredible piece of hardware, but what I've been seeing around the internet with slew of non-gamers is they think it's just another DS redesign, what I feel Nintendo needs to do.
- Distinguish the design: It really just look like a new DS or DSi with an analog added, and 3D, change the buttons out, do something completely different.
- Stress the importance that this isn't just another no power added, DS.
- Change the name, too close and too lazy: The name is too close to the original DS, we know it's still double screened, but seriously 3DS sounds too much like a publicly excepted code named, rather than a new full name for the console.
That's all I have to say. Do you guys have any ideas what they can do to draw this out to anyone that isn't hardcore. I think Nintendo played it too safe design wise, by trying to keep the DS design people are comfortable with.
