My hype for the next Nintendo console is plummeting with every new rumour I hear.

Is this a joke.....?You can't be serious with this.Wii HD it sound a lot better but Project Cafe........??:|
When they call it Cafe does mean food will be involved? Maybe it will made some coffee...........i think that does mean.[QUOTE="campzor"]if this is true... then...facepalm to u nintendo with the naming. ALL nintendos consoles/handhelds have had great names except the wii.and now this.. (IF TRUE, didnt click link)Coolyfett
Do you feel the 3DS is a great name?
ye, handhelds r fine, just the wii is a stupid random name and so is 'feel'3DS is not a bad name. Im sure people wouldn't considered DS a bad name. DS= Dual Screen 3DS= short fot Dual Screen with 3D effect. PSP107
The actual reason Nintendo called it that was an abbreviation for "Developers System", they said it could also be called duel screen though too.
3ds wasn't a smart name though.
If you would pronounce "Feel" in my language (Dutch) it will sound like "Fail". Haha, and that's exactly what I think of the name. I'm sure I will buy it anyway though. :PSgt_CrowNintendo wouldn't name it that because of that problem the reason they chose the name Wii was because it was easy to pronounce in every language also because it sounded like "We"

Interesting about "Developers System" that makes no sense on a marketing standpoint. Where did get that information from? Also, why 3DS is a bad name besides closely being the same as DS? and that the joe made think just a regular DS but with 3D.[QUOTE="PSP107"]3DS is not a bad name. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo_DS-3rd paragraph
but they have later said that it means both Developer's System and Dual Screen. So 3DS means 3 things actually. 3-Dimensional System, Dual Screen, and Developer's System
Not true the name Wii was meant to communicate people playing together. The two little i people next to eachother. The fact that it sounds like "we," With the Wii it mattered. I still don't know what the 360 in Xbox 360 refers too. Playstation is as bland as gamecube. Bread_or_Decide
Easy to say in hindsight but the Wii's success has zip to do with the name. Playstation is still the most successful gaming brand name in history and even spawned the term 'Playstation generation'.
I don't see many people calling this the Wii generation and not just because it doesn't rhyme ;).
360 was supposed to show that it was all encompassing, as in the complete package.
Each one is a success in it's own right and really could have been called anything non-offensive and it would have done.

The wii is just something just caught on. and the name wii helped alot.I don't. It's almost too good to be true. The epic laughs, gifs and ridicule that would ensue would be god tier worthy.[QUOTE="Heil68"][QUOTE="789shadow"]
"Feel?" That's even worse than Wii. :|
Hope it's false.

Yeah, you're probably right.
Damn, so excited for Cafe, if only that a new console gen always brings the lulz in SW.
Considering how awful the Wii is, what else can ya hope for? Laughs, that's what by golly! Please Log In to post.
