great week Im so freaking happy its coming to the 360. Im sure it will actually sell over here.... 600k is putrid for GOTY, no wonder why the DEV ran away from demon souls name...

Project Dark is coming to 360 just like Mass Effect 2 is coming to PS3. The only difference is that we don't have to wait a year for Project Dark and Demons Souls won't be required for Project Dark meaning PS3 owners are getting a sour deal compared to Mass Effect 2 on 360 and 360 owners are getting the same as PS3 owners ( Maybe even better with Xbox Live ... )

1. Did you miss the dozen other threads on the same subject?

2. What does ME2 have to do with a third party dev making a new game multiplat? From Software was never a 1st party dev, and this isn't the same IP. :| This would be more like Bungie (now that they've reacquired their independence) making a new FPS and releasing it multiplat. In other words, it means nothing.

3. Assuming it has a similar online style to DS (of course, we don't know that but you're dying to link the two) how would XBL improve an online experience where you can't speak, and can't choose to join a friend's game? :roll:

Try hyping the game instead of looking for "pwnership"...

This is similar to Bungie signing a deal with Activision to make a new game. From Software signed a deal with Namco Bandai to make a new game. The new Bungie game might look and play like Halo, but it isnt Halo. Project Dark might look and play like Demon's Souls, but it isnt Demon's Souls. Everyone wins, no one loses.

I wonder how many lemmings were like "**** Demon's Souls. A hard game isn't even fun" back when it was getting all the GOTY recognition, and how many of them now are excited for a spiritual successor to Demon's Souls because it's also coming to the 360.Nerd_Man

Project Dark is not a Demon Souls. From Software said its a entirely new game/series that borrows the gameplay elements from Demon Souls. Demon Souls remains PS3 exclusive unlike Mass Effect 2. By TC's logic, every multiplat game was supposed to be PS3 exclusive.

Now more people will bow to the greatness that was From Software! Project Dark will rock, though I kinda think the name's not really cool. Any idea who will be publishing it?shalashaska88

It's just a working title. Namco Bandai are publishing it.

I think it will be atleast nearly as good as Demon's Souls. The only things I think I'll miss are the soul/body form concept, and using souls as currency which you could get back if you get back to your bloodstain. On the other hand, they might come up with something just as good.
