Replacing the mouse+keyboard/gamepad with a control interface that is inherently less responsive, less reliable, and more resource-intensive isn't exactly what I'd call progress. In fact, it's the definition regression. They're wasting resources mapping actions to hand gestures when the same actions can already be performed with the press of a button.[QUOTE="dontshackzmii"]
i am not a huge fan of natal but i am glad we are moving forward with controls . we need to advance how we interact with games . right now weather you use key board and mouse or a game pad we are very limited . People who fight this are only holding back gaming. they want to stick with the limitations because they fear change so badly

At least they're making the first steps...
while the first generation of true motion control might not succeed first time around, we all know thats its here to stay whether we like it or not...
In ten years, Natal 3.0 and Move 3.0 could replace the controller as the primary method of input for gaming and the gamepad might take a backseat...
correct me if I'm wrong (and I could be) but wasn't there plenty of people that doubted the success of online gaming 15 years or so ago??
If motion control is truly sticking around for the foreseeable future, I reckon the skys the limit and it can only improve on its many initial faults...
the first attempts at flying were met with cynicism and doubt...and we all know that failed on its first few outings
Need I say more?
