So much for that being the reason to buy an Xbox 360.

They both are worthless. It's difficult to determine which is worst. Probably Home as Natal looks ok at first glance.Firelore29
Not like you care anyway...
Blu Ray not an exclusive to the PS3! So much for that being the reason to buy a PS3.
360 controller can be used on the PC! 360 controller no longer an exclusive to the Xbox 360! So much for that being the reason to buy a 360.
People will buy a 360 for Natal regardless if its on the PC. People bought the PS3 for Blu-Ray and its also on the PC. Nonstop-MadnessBlu-Ray was not on the PC when it was in a ps3. MS has a feeling Natal will not "do so well" alone on the 360, which is why they are announcing its also coming to PC.
The 360 controller can be used on a PC! And now Natal is going to also be able to be used on PC?

What... so you're saying if PS3 didn't had a blu ray player... nobody would of purchase it?
exactly. I can see it being used for presentations so they don't need a mouse or other hand held device.Who cares? Natal on PC would be used more for multimedia and communication (especially by corporate users) than gaming.
PBSnipes
and at home it would control the media pc.

I'm telling you right now every single game that Microsoft develops for Natal on the 360 will end up on the PC as well. What's the benefit to buying it on the 360 at that point? You would probably get more benefit from it on the computer anyways.[QUOTE="Nonstop-Madness"]People will buy a 360 for Natal regardless if its on the PC. I mean fair enough if we dont get the natal games, then you have a point... but if we do... its totally valid.

Xbox360 and Windows PC share many things in common already if some people havn't noticed.
It's already a given how come games still sell on the Xbox360 then, even if it's on the PC as well?
Microsoft benefits from this as Windows and the Xbox360 OS play major roles for Project Natal.
The Xbox360 is part of Microsofts's "Ecosystem" of devices with the Winodws and Live being central.
i.e. Live aware, Windows Live, Xbox Live, Mobile 7 and Zune Market.
Xbox360 also acts as a proper Media Center extender-It even shows it as an option on the NXE dashboard.
Al this has been explained in the previous thread.
Cows think this is ownage, but in fact all it does is cement the exclusive arrangement between Windows and the Xbox360.
Eindows will of course benefit from this, but Microsoft will also encourage those users that the games for Project Natal can also ne found on consoles. guess which one.
Does anyone here think that Microsoft are really that stupid when the Xbox360 and Windows PC share many things in common?
And the point of this topic is?DarknessLion
the point of this topic is that TC and Cows are trying to claim ownage as they think this will detract overall from the Xbox360. What they don't realise is if they get Project Natal on the PC it just further contributes to it's success and adoption.
Project Natal is Microsofts device and has applied various Patents.
If Project Natal can work very well for the Xbox360's O.S. it will of course work for Windows.
The marketing alone for Project Natal will refer to one another.
Xbox360 and Windows PCs are not indirect competition with each other, but have an exclusive arrangement.
If this relationship didn't work out for Micrososft , then there wouldn't be that many games bought for the Xbox360.

Thanks *Walks out of Topic*Who brought a 360 for Project Natal again?
And since MS uses PC, this doesn't surprise me.
mitu123
And who bought it for that either?:P
Yea this might be half way decent ammo on "system wars", but in the real world the 360 is a microsoft platform and the great majority of pc's are a MS software platforms. Of course MS will share applications and games between the 2 systems to maximize profitability, why wouldn't they? Then again you are right it's no longer exclusive for this forum's purposes, realistically it's a big win for MS.

no im not, im just saying that just because tech is on multiple products doesn't make it fail or diminish a reason to buy the product. Ex. Natal on 360 and Blu Ray on PS3, both of those techs can be used on PC's but it doesnt diminish a reason to buy a 360 or PS3.so bill gates is no longer with microosft THEN WHY IS HE STILL annoucning stuff
resevl4rlz
so what. H has more insode information then any of us here obivously. He is still privy to details within Microsoft since he is a co-founder and I'm fairly sure he has sunbstantial stakes and stocks in Mircosoft.
So do Cows actually think that this "revelation" will detract and be the downfall of the Xbox360 or something?
Games, software and hardware between the two is nothing new. The Xbox360 still sells heaps of games. Cows didn't notice that this generation?
