Now THAT is what a super hero game should look like.......or atleast in this case anti hero.....when i play a hero game i dont want to feel like i'm a mere human that can get punked by people wearing trash bags, i wanna be god !, if i want to grab someone and take them for a ride on top of a building then body slam em off, i can. this is the same reason i will never in my life buy a superman game.......all that power.......and yet superman can't kill people.......booooring
where was i ? ah yes prototype ftw.....i preordered it weeks ago
I hype better than Infamous.
Aljosa23
In other words, you're hyping it to flop? There's no way this will get 9.5. The graphics will knock it down alone.

I'm not bothered by the graphics. I just wish the draw distance was better. :(
This game could be even more awesome with great draw distance.
isnt inFamous average 8 ?, Proto's average is 9 but then again only 2 reviews for prototype atm. anyway, i'll bring up the Fallout 3 vs Mass effect arguement.........Mass effect's graphics was beautiful.........yet and still look what rpg got all the awards and which one didnt 8), so far the majority of the reviewers previewers understand that this game could not be done on consoles having all those npc's and crap going on if it looked like GOW inFamous looks slightly better, but actualy check it out.......infamous has about what ? 5 or 4 in game car models ? 5-9 people on the street at once ?

That's true. This game has so much freaking stuff going on onscreen. It gets crazy hectic. 1UP said they polished it up and there's like no framerate issues whatsoever in their latest preview build. It'd be impossible to make a graphical showpiece with so many NPC's, enemies, vehicles, and pure mayhem going on.

The streets and sidewalks in prototype literaly look like new york xD you can basicaly paint the ground with blood if you wanted, i know the game will get overwhelming at times with all those solderis/zombies/robots and crap after you. in one of the trailers i couldnt even count all the soldiers shooting at Alex.
i'm starting the game on hard, how bout you :P thats if you dont have to unlock it first, you should check out the activision forums, one of the devs talks about the game a lot, answers questions and all sorts of crap, there are over 90 events, and over 100 web of intrique targets, side missions as well one involves you finding a severed leg on top of a building and that activates an entire side story. i hope the devs are right, but then again i wouldnt be surprised, they worked on the game for so long, pushed it back so much, it should be near perfect ! lol
looks awesome. I wish they'd kept the Alex's earlier design though

I doubt it there so much more invovled with this game, i saw more videos and to be able to destroy alot of stuff, they had to flood the streets with crap to destroy.infamous is ok, but it didn't have that feeling of POWAH!!! that i wanted, this should delivergood luck for it to be better then infamous, infamous really delivers as far as i'm concern

As far as i'm concerned it did not. this game will be better than inFamous because it caters to gamers like me needs
hardcore action, zombies, gore & an original story, over a platformer with a generic overused story, anyday.

way to spoil everything for everyone, but stories i've seen they might go back in time but it has always been to change something that went wrong, this is different the guys life went correct, but since he failed to try and do anything so the world fell apart, and he lost all that he cared about, he came back to prepare himself to be able to fight, obvious sequal setup imo, but I thought it was pretty cool, theres not many that use this kind of story. Whats so original about prototype if i may ask?5-9 people on the street at once ?
Euroshinobi
Not really, there are several areas and missions where there are 15+ on the screen at once. The evil Police Station one where you have reapers helping you comes to mind and so does the Street Fight. The Street Fight one where the two gangs are fighting each other was intense. There were dozens of them, the minimap was almost completely red.

Whats so original about prototype if i may ask?The beauty of prototype is not that its 'Ideals' are original, its that its the first to bring all them together in one game you get anti hero meets zombie apocalyspe noone has done it, they're the first open world zombie game, unless you count dead rising, but then again you couldnt actualy go anywhere but the mall, infection spreading and all that is not original ofcourse
but you know as well as i do to speak on prototype story now, would be ridiculous because so far we know nothing about it, other than, he wakes up, has powers and zombie apocalyspe, its a conspiracy story, so most likely what you think he is, or who you think his sister is, may not even be real

nice, yea i did those missions, saw the npc's, they dont compare at all to the amount on screen in prototype.

an open world with a story about a virus used to make biological weapons... far more "generic" then infamous. Dead rising is a sandox game, the setting is a mall, prototype is a sandbox game, the setting is a city, and they are both about virus's, and so isn't RE, and tons of other games/movies.I have yet to see a story anywhere about a guy loosing everythign becasuse of some guy only to find out its his future self trying to prepare him for the apacolypse, so he'll be able to fight back. Much more original. The only time travlel stories i can think of are, back to the future, which isn't the same as this, a sound of thunder and all its spin offs, which is much more different, and as for games, chrono trigger still very differen't.
inFamous would have been so much more interesting if it showed mutant babies in jars, and babies eating each other like prototype did
i'm sorry but im a sick sick man, and thats why i like prototype more lol.
and what song are you talking about ?

holy crap this is going to be tons of fun lol, throw people at helicopters = win

Garnett Lee from 1UP said both inFAMOUS and Prototype are awesome. And he said he'll play both through to the end because they're both so much fun, and they're actually very different. He got the review build of Prototype, btw.
Are we talking about GS scores ? because the game already has a 9 elsewhere
Anyway Hero open world games or Zombie open world games > games like GTA & Saints row, where you do the same thing over and over in each installment, driving around acting like a mobster or gangsta in open world games is getting old, really gta and saints row and every other game of its kinds can go die lol
I don't know why, but most of these superhero open world sandbox games turn me off immediately. Maybe because it is too over-the-top and relies on gimmicks to keep you hooked on playing? Whether it's Spiderman, Infamous or Prototype, I can't get excited for it, even though it does look good. I hype it a 7.5, 8.0 max. I don't see it getting any higher than an AA.Brainhunter
Most games don't. Not taking much of a risk with that statement. AA's are well worth buying. Uncharted, Mass Effect (360 version), multiple JRPG's, etc.
