[QUOTE="axes03"]TC....do you work for EPIC or something....GOD that was annoying.
im getting this game on the 360 later (my current PC cant handle it), but your dumb rant almost made me decide against it.

lol, no I don't work for epic.
And WTF, you think I'm ranting? :?
I suppose I have been a bit of a dickhead in this thread. Sorry, I was bored lol.:|
Ok, the thing that is actually bugging me is the people who say something is crap but don't really give it a chance. They say a game is 8.5 but don't know why it really ought to be 9.5 if they actually put the time into it to get good.
It should be great on 360.
They said it wasnt anything different from UT2K4, so why would it get AAA?

Poor reviewing if they think UT3 isn't any different than UT2k4. Dodge jump and weapon balance are very very different indeed. A lot of reviewers have made this mistake though and not just GS.
me gotz teh skillz homie. teh real skillz fo sho.
On a serious note, I dont get why you UT3 requires skills, I used to play Ut2004 LAN all the time with my friends and I was pretty good, but its not like I was extra skilled in it, and to me it was just like any other FPS.
I'm picking it up on the PS3 on Dec. 10th. :)
I've been playing UT games since the original. No way i'd ever pass up UT3. Didn't play too much of the ones before UT2k4 (because i spent all my time playing on consoles) but i played a good amount of 2k4. No way i'd pass up UT3, just won't happen.

jeff actually said while there is a few obviousa differences it still felt fresh, fast and fun.I'm picking it up on the PS3 on Dec. 10th. :)

You gonna use a keyboard and mouse? :P
Does anyone know if they're having seperate servers for kb/m users and gamepad users for UT3 on PS3? Because it would be seriously unfair if they didn't have distinct servers, especially since people who feel more comfortable with a gamepad will feel forced to use a kb/m to compete.

I prefer controllers to be honest, always have. Videogame just don't feel like videogames without a controller to me (gaming since the Atari). I'm very good too.I believe my accuracy rating in CoD4 is 80% and that's after a long time of playing (well over 12 hours). Comes from all the past console experience.
I don't mind either way if they separate servers or not. Either way, i'm game. :)

As far as i'm aware they will be having servers that are control pad only, kb+mouse only, and some combined KB+mouse servers. It's up to you to choose where you want to play. Probably most people will use a control pad though. I won't be though.

jeff actually said while there is a few obviousa differences it still felt fresh, fast and fun.1. It isn't noobied up. It is a return to the UT99 type of gameplay which is very different to the UT2k series. There is a perception amongst UT2k4 fans that it has been noobied up due to the removal of the dodge jump. This is not really true though as it forces you improve your skill in other areas such as being able to handle up front battling with weapons. Previously there was actually skill involved IMO in the 2k series because you had the shield gun and you could also easily dodge jump away and get a powerup or whatever. No longer the case. It's like UT99 where you got to find a way to frag or be fragged. No more chicken, lol.
2. People have been saying it's been 'consolised' due to the crap graphical user interface being used as the server browswer. It The menus make it feel like it's a menu for a console game. Epic are fixing this up in the first patch. In fact I think there is already some stuff released in a beta patch. Epic are good with patches and they have said they will fix the GUI up.
3. I think UT3 will turn the tide for consoles and be able to give us a carbon copy of the PC version on PS3 as long as you use the kb+mouse.
CONSOLE GAMERS GET AUTO AIM.... But I'll still pwn them :P
Did it in Shadowrun and will do it here aswell.

I think there is an option on the PS3 version to toggle off the 'auto aim'. (based on looking at the UT3 beta demo options)
I wont be using auto aim if at all possible.
