Everything points to cash grab which I won't be participating in.

The problem is that most games (including Tekken 3) didn't actually increase the resolution for the PAL versions. Most games ran at the same resolution, but squashed with borders (messing up the aspect ratio), and ran at 50 Hz. So the picture looked worse, and it ran slower on top of that. There are some games that did make an effort to optimize for PAL, but they were few and far between.

@Jag85: you started to see slightly better parity with the Dreamcast. But it was the Xbox that was the first console to offer true NTSC and PAL parity across all games.

Man, I was initially really hyped for this. ? Seems they took quite a lazy approach in putting it together though. What a waste of a good opportunity.

My thinking exactly after the success of PS4 it's a huge missed opportunity. I expected not only a better line up of games but to get it to at least run games smoothly which isn't too much to ask.

I'm disappointed, but honestly, still getting it. There are a few I never tried and a few I had and would like to play again without lugging my old PS out of storage.

You know what would be better and more logical releasing old games on PSN.

Count Coolyfett as one of those. PlayStation TV is the go to mini console for Coolyfett. PlayStation failed on this.
