PS+ next month seem pretty packed (UPDATED )

Sony just confirmed next months PS+ offerings and it seem pretty packed with fine games

PSN hit Trine 2 joins the free games selection in May, boasting widespread critical acclaim and a dazzling fantasy world. Don?t miss out on one of the prettiest titles in gaming ? grab Trine 2 for free on Plus this month.

Not enough for you? How about getting Rock of Ages for free when it releases on PSN? The acclaimed mix of tower-defense strategy and rolling ball physics (trust us, it?s fun will keep you in stitches with the game?s quirky humor and ultra-addictive gameplay modes.

May also brings the free release of PS one Classic Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and Castlevania Chronicles. For many of you, Castlevania: SotN needs no introduction. Nice! I've been wanting to pick up Trine 2 since I loved the original. Also love Castlevania so those will be a treat too. This is probably my favorite month since the month we got all the RE games.

thats some good free games. I already made my money back and then some on PS+ so im pretty sure ill be re signing after my year is up.

You need to go to the PlayStation store>>> PS+ section>>>> then click on the Ps+ Free Games offferings section.. there you will see everything that is offered and not all games that were offered in the past are offered now.. some are only limited for one month then they are gone so if your late your late. the selection changes every month

Trine 2 is a decent game I baught that and Rock of Ages last year for PC, its great fun in coop. Rock of Ages wasnt all that great though IMO.

They expire, but the games stay available to you if you had PS+ at the time were offered. I'm not quite sure whether they are all available or only the ones you downloaded.

Some offers expier. SO you gatta get them fast befor they are gone. However I remember a few cases when the offers pop up again. Its just not very common.

I believe there was one point where they were free 1-3 then another point where it was a price cut 1-3. I wouldint be shocked if they did something again fro 1-3 when RE6 comes out.

You don't have to download it, but you have to add it to your transaction history while the game is still part of the "PSN+ free games".

If you forget to do that, then you won't be able to go back and get it for "free" after they rotate in different games. Obviously if you just download everything you are good to go, but sometimes I don't have the HDD space so I just make a point to at least do the "transaction' for the 0.00 purchase.

I got Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for free when I had PS+ (When my Subscription ran out I was still allowed to redownload it if I want for Free; I deleted it when I got bored)

But for Magic the Gathering Duals of the Planeswalkers I got that for free with PS+ but if I want to play it again I have to spend money to actually purchase it.

What i liked about trine 2 is that it has the easiest platinum trophy you will ever find in a game.. 2 hours and you will have the platinum heck you dont even need to finish the game.. just find a friend that can co-op with you

i really enjoy ps+, the free games, avatars and themes along with exclusive betas and cloud storage it's more than worth it. sooooo glad i didn't pick up trine 2 earlier this month.

It is indeed not worth it to some people and very worth it to some.. just depends what you like and if you play/buy too many games.. its a nice rental service and its completly optional.

Sony is so broke that American Express called and Sony and said: "Leave home without it!"

I got a full year of PS Plus about two months ago (which Final Star already knows because we're PSN friends) and it has defiately been worth it, the amount of savings is insane and the content I got for "free" endend up being more than my $50, it was already paid off in like a week. I got GTA episodes from Liberty City for $11, normally it's $30, that's a great amount of money saved (and you keep the discounted games no matter what).

Lems will bash it, but anyone with a brain who compares the two will come to the conclusion that PS Plus is a better value than XBL, it gives you your money's worth. I'm definately looking forward to next month! I hope at E3 they announce even more great features for us Plus users, it's defianetly a great deal!

But XBL is a rental service too, you don't fully own Halo or Gears or COD ect....you only own a portion of them. Plus is an option, it's not forced and it gives you games (some of which are yours to keep no matter what), it's like getting games at no additional cost, $50 for games at no additional cost for the rest of the year. If you bought all these games individually without plus it would end up being A LOT more than $50

Enjoy paying $60 a year just to rent half your games and play online and do party chat, I'll be paying $50 a year getting games at no additional cost and massive discounts (75% off on old games, 50% off on new ones, though it vaires from game to game). It's obvoius Plus is the better value.
